- Academic Environment: This college offers good academic structure with variety of non tech as well as humanities courses along with obviously core courses.
- Placements and Internships: PEC offers great curriculum and reserved the 6th semester for internships and companies come to college in 5th as well as 7th and 8th semester for internships and placements offering more time opportunities to students.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure: Since its very old college and had a great legacy, but some areas of college and some departments need renovation and new equipments though a large number of renovations are going on.
- Management: The whole power lies in the hands of director and dean and keeping in time for hostels doesn't justify the right to freedom and there is a monopoly of power in the hands of deans.
Internships Opportunities:
As told eariler, pour college starts internship cycle in 5th semester for a internship break in 6th semester. A number of tier 0 , tier fantasy companies like Microsoft, Salesforce, Google, JP Morgan, Natwest< Amex visits our campus all with their respective stipends averaging about 1 lakh.

- Lush greenery in the campus that provide one with freshness and positivity.
- Availability of facilities for sports like football, volleyball, lawn tennis, table tennis, cricket,etc.
Dislikes
- Availability of stray dogs in the campus that lead to fear of diseases.
- Lack of options in the market with just two stationeries, 3 to 4 eateries and two banks
Placement Experience:
Internship is offered in this college at the beginning of 6th semester and placements begin from 4th year one wards once companies start coming this colege for recuitment. Many companies like L&T, Wipro, Microsoft, Deloitte, etc come for placements

- Placements and Internships are very decent as compared to the market scenario right now.
- The Faculty is very well versed in their respective fields

- The infrastructure could use some rebuilding and improvements
- Mess and other hostel facilities are below par and the living conditions are in need of improvement

PEC has managed to maintained its placement statistics in times when top tier colleges are struggling to provide decent placement opportunities Some of the visiting companies include JP Morgan, Texas Instruments, PhonePe, Microsoft, Apple (TWICE), Amazon, VISA and AmericanExpress.. offers made by each company vary Highest ever package was 83 LPA (CTC) and aveage package is approx 15.5 LPA (CTC) Approx 95% of the students appearing for placements get placed I plan to either persue Masters or sit for placements after getting the degree

- The college is in Chandigarh which is a great city to explore.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is really bad since the college is old .
- The faculty is not good and you have to study on your own.

Internships are also great at my college . Mostly you can get internships when you are in 3rd year . Companies like JP Morgan come to hire students as Interns and also give placements to some of the interns.

- The first hand experience in extra curricular and management of big events is huge, along with your academic you have a scope of going above and beyond in clubs and activities.
- Major and minor project in 3rd and 4th year helps us also focus on the practical engineering team experience and help us cultivate unity and innovation.
Dislikes
- Traditional way of teaching would be one, as the curriculum of subject is quite old.
- Culture of technology is abit less people are more inclined towards management consulting
Internships Opportunities:
Various company visit oncampus for internships for both 2 months and 6 months in varied domains of software engineering, finance , consulting, core . So along with this student also get opportunity in government institutions like DRDO , ISER , FMS etc

- The crowd is brilliant for circuital branches and seniors are helpful and ready to support always. There is market in pec of stationery,juices,fruits,fast food as well as meals.There is Nescafe canteen and one more campus cafe providing coffees drink
- Many different clubs and socities including technical and cultural. Strong Alumni network spreading all over world. Many grounds like of cricket,football also there is gym library swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court,Table tennis court.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is very poor as this college is not funded by central government. 1st year teachers are boring. You just have to do everything by yourself. Bad crowd in non circuital branches
- Drugs and beer vines are common. No AC in non circuital branches. Lack of funding. Like others college they just follow old curriculum.
Internships Opportunities:
Internships are good like many students got their placemnet from JP Morgan, American express etc. Median stipend from CSE department is around 40k and Highest was more than 1.2Lakh. Majorly people goes in Software development or Anlysis.

- Campus placements are very good and college have good reputation
- Located in a big city so you'll get exposure of the outer world
Dislikes
- Very poor infrastructure as the college was built in 1952
- Non ac classrooms so in summers it becomes hard to even sit in the classrooms

Internships are also very good . Many huge mnc'c take students for internship like - JPmourgan , Tata sleet ,birla steel , etc. You also get a summer internship without stipend but you get a lot of experience through it

- well i liked the college fest a lot. it was quite better than nearby engineering colleges
- the sports culture is very good. facilities for all sports are available. even there is a gym here and a swimming pool
Dislikes
- the infrastructure of the college is very poor as it is very old
- the library service is only from 9am to 8 pm . people who want to study at night cannot avail the service of the library

the internship opportunities for cse people is good. like american express goldman sacks and many such prestigious companies arrive for providing internships to students. they are like for two months mostly and stipends varies from 30000 to 100000

The placement opportunities from the college are good renowned companies like BMW JP Morgan Mechenzi American Express come for placements .Earlier more Big MNCs came but are now shifting towards other colleges due to depleting rank of the college

Why is PEC losing its good ranking? Is it true that NIT Jalandhar will cross it within a few years?
PEC's previous director wasn’t a very good educationist. The infrastructure, curriculum and the extracurriculars suffered under his leadership.
But things have changed in PEC now. The new director has the opposite ideals. There has been a gradual increase in the quality of education at PEC. Some changes are:

So the long standing reputation combined with the strong alumni network will not disappoint you. PEC is not losing its good ranking and NIT Jalandhar is nowhere near it.
