- I liked the course curriculum of the institute. It was updated to the standard IIT curriculum.
- Examination are less stressful and less time consuming
Dislikes
- College doesn't have a permanent campus.
- Fees on the slightly higher side. But it is same for IIT's and NIT's.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum was relevant to the standard IIT's and NIT's curriculum. Course curriculum and teaching methods are good, no need of improvement. There are two exams mainly mid-semester examination and end-semester examination, which basically extends maximum to a week. There are also quizes and practical lab examinations.
Internships Opportunities :
There are few internships opportunities for pre-final year students but for final year student it is necessary to join in the 8th semester. Some of the companies which came were hyperverge, IBM, cognizant etc.
Placement Experience :
From the 7th semester, students are eligible to take part in on-campus placements. And, 8th semester is fully dedicated for internships and major project. Some of the companies which visited the campus were hyperverge, IBM, Cognizant, Brane etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There was no hike or increase in the tution fees. It was 90000 per semester for 8 semesters and additional 10500 miscellanoues charges including transportation, internet etc. Hostel fees was 15000 and mess fees was 18000. So, the total semester fees is 133500. For scholarships, there is NSP (National Scholarship Portal). For campus employment, I have done two internships for 7 months as a software develoer intern. First one was off-campus pre-final year internship and second one was one-campus final year internship with a stipend of 25000 per month.
Campus Life :
Infrastructure is under progress. The permanent campus is under progress and I don't know when it will be ready. Clubs and social aspects are nill, if you are looking for these, maybe you should go for different institutes for now.
Hostel Facilities :
Rooms were very good, mess meals are also good. Registration process is standard through JOSSA counciling portal. Hostels are quite affordable and rooms are also cleaned reguarly. There is also a facility of generators.
Admission :
To be eligible for ECE, cutoff is around 52000 in JEE Mains and for CSE it is around 40000 for general. JEE mains is the general and most famous examination. I don't remember all the detals, maybe checking collegedunia's page for the institute will be a good idea.
Faculty :
faculty-to-students ratio was around 1:10 and the institute is under MHRD, so faculties are highly educated. Faculties approach of teaching is also good. And, there is a strict rule for attendance, it should be around 75%. Also, due to the high faculty-to-students ratio, faculties are highly approachable.
