Course Curriculum Overview :

Basically i am in metallurgy department and it is best Department in every aspect like in placement or other exam result like GATE or CAT. Curriculum is related to the real world application and it help to survive in industry. Exams are on the regular basis and consists of question based on lecture and industrial application. There are 2 mid sem and 1 end sem every semester.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 416000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

According to my information companies like TATA metaliks and TATA steel offers internship and give stipend of around 45 k for 45 days amd major projects are based on steel making process and afterward procees to carry out after steel making like milling and these project help in getting job easily in steel industry.

Placement Experience :

After 6 semester student are eligible bor campus placement. Last year companies like jsw and vedanta were mass recruiter and they recruited around 50 students together offering highest placement of14 lpa and average around 7.5lpa . Around 100 percent of student of final year student got placed

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee is around 4 lakh 25 thousands approx and it is very much effective as return on investment is good . Now it has been increased to 7 lakh approx for four years and no hidden charge is there .campus placement company requirits you as GET. And first you will be given initial training of 1 yeat before moving to actual job .

Campus Life :

Jinks pranav is our annual fest and several small event also occur in whole academic year. We have major clubs like badminton, cricket, football, volleyball etc and a special student governing group conducting all these event i.e Gymkhana. A NGO name KARTAVYA is also run by our college students.library is fair with all types of book.classroom is well equipped with modern facilities like smart board and projectors etc

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are quite good and have facilities like fan, tubelight, table , chair , window separate , cupboard ,cot and mosquito net stand etc. Mess food is descent and have alltype of food in its menu like both south Indian and North Indian food.No one opt for PG.

Hostel Fee : INR 15000 per year

Admission :

Admission process is through JEE MAINS scorecard you need approx 95 percentile for general category to get admission in this college through JOSAA or CSAB counselling after JEE ADVANCED exam. There is 50 percent seat reservation for females.Exam is conducted every year twice and best of two is considered as final score.

Faculty :

Faculties are well qualified here and faculty to student ratio is around 1 faculty per 10 students . Faculty teaches their best and their lecture helps to score good in semester exam. Lectures are regular according to the schedule given by academic section. Quality of students are quite good.

A college with tremendous placement

Placement Experience:

Almost all the students of NIT Jamshedpur are placed irrespective of their branch. Coming to Civil branch the placement percentage is above 95 percent. And the average package is around 9 lpa. So in terms of placement NIT Jamshedpur is among one of the best NITs of India.

BIT MESRA - A BOON OR A BANE

Placement Experience:

The palcements scenario is decent in our college . Here very good comapnes come for recuritment but they are grenerally for the branches like computer science and IT. Other branches like ECE and EEE also have decent placemnets but othereise all other branches have a pretty dull placemnet scene.

Our placements are better than other colleges but not as good as other iits also due to recession the placement have declined this year , as for me I have secondary choice to prepare for gate as core companies like cil don't come to campus placement and we have to crack gate which easier for my branch as it is a rare branch in india

BIT Sindri Review from an insider perspective.

Placement Experience:

Final year students i.e. from 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Companies like Tata Steel, L&T , Vedanta limited, TSUIL, TCE, Adani group, Aditya Birla group and many more companies visited the campus for placements. Also Core engineering branch students are also eligible for IT companies like TCS , Accenture, Deloitte etc they also visit campus. Total offers made this year was around 400 Average package is around 6.5 LPA. Highest package is 13.2 LPA by Vedanta for GET role. Around 75% of students were placed. My plans after degree :- I am joining L&T Constructions after my degree. I was offered this role by L&T during my campus placements. My responsibilities will be to assist the senior engineers and learn from them.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year one can go for placements, they are eligible. Campus placements do happen. Infosys, tcs, wipro, and many more companies visit here and hire the most skilled engineers. The percentage is obviously really good. A minimum of 80% of the students get placed in good-paying jobs.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR REVIEW

After 6th sem students start applying for placements. The average package offered was 12.63 lpa this year due to recession in job market. The avg for my branch i.e production and industrial engineering was 8.26 lpa . Avg for cs was 20.24 lpa and the highest package offered was 82 lpa .
