A brief Overview of IIIT Ranchi

College crowd is very diversified most of the students are from other states
Course is not so rigrous atleast in the 1st year

Dislikes

Infrastructure is in construction phase and currently operating from temporary campus
Campus life is non existent and social interactions are extremely terrible. No cultural fests or programs

Placement Experience:

Yes campus placement is offered Placements was nice in 2023 but, it 2024 due to recession it went downhill Talking about 2023 stats Around 130 offers Highest 83 lpa Average package was around 16-17 lpa Placement percentage - 85-90% In 2024 Total 50 offers Highest package 28 lpa Avg 9.2 lpa This year things are slightly getting better companies have visited and given offers to students some direct offers and some internships Internships are in the fourth year. My plan is to get a high paying job after 1-2 years of experience MBA from a reputed college if necesaary.

When compared to other iiits IIIT Ranchi has low fees
The staff are very friendly.you don't need to fear to ask anything

Dislikes

Food in the message is worst than you think
There is no permanent campus built till now.

faculty is super friendly they gonna help you in your projects

permanent campus is not present due to which there are more problems
food also is not too good which is not preferable by me

there are so many reasons i have choosed iiit ranchi and the reasons are as follows the travelling is okk in my case because the other colleges i have got are more far than my house the scholarship i have get in this college is good so i have choosed this college

Hostels are good and well equipped mess food is also decent
Course degine by my college is good and have the abillity to make the student placement ready

Dislikes

Curriculum is very hectic vast syllabus have to cover in 4 months
There is no such fest conducted in our college this time although we have our official techfest but not conducted this year

Placement Experience:

Placement are good and decent as in our official website it's written that average pacakage is 18 lakh and we get ready in our third year for the placement highest package is 80 lakh my plans is to just get the job

The placement is one of the best in all institutes of National importance
Senior to junior interaction is very good.

Dislikes

We still don't have a permanent campus which is not expected.
Infrastructure can be improved a lot since it's not upto the mark

Placement Experience:

If no campus opportunity is available at campus due to recession or due to low CGPA, still you don't need to worry much bcoz the brand name of IIIT is enough to get you a good paying job if you have the required skills.

faculties are really great here . they are expert in their domains. Their industry experience and skill enhance the learning experience also the practical things. They support the students and clear their doubt any time .
Here hostels are well maintained with proper furniture and facilities. each rooms has 2 students with a proper space for both for them.

Dislikes

It does not have it's own permanent campus.
Due to no permanent campus , temporary campus is small.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester students are eligible for placements . companies like amazon , HCL , tata , visite. THE highest package is 83 lakhs and the average package is 17lakhs. about 90 percent students get placed.

Advance resources and labs for electronics and computer science domain

Placement Experience:

Highest package offered was 83.38 LPA. Average package was 16.67 LPA On campus placements are offered by the college Google, Atlassian, Goldmansachs, LogicFruit, MPL, Intuit and a lot more companies where our alumni are working. As year's are passing the number of recruitment is increasing exponentially Student's who dont opt for placement's usually apply for master as their secondary plan

I liked the course curriculum of the institute. It was updated to the standard IIT curriculum.
Examination are less stressful and less time consuming

Dislikes

College doesn't have a permanent campus.
Fees on the slightly higher side. But it is same for IIT's and NIT's.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible to take part in on-campus placements. And, 8th semester is fully dedicated for internships and major project. Some of the companies which visited the campus were hyperverge, IBM, Cognizant, Brane etc.

Good college life. Teachers are really good. Also there is diversification of students.

Dislikes

Quality of the teachers are not that good.

Placement Experience:

Now from last year companies also started visiting for third year students for internship. Otherwise you are only eligible in your fourth year. Companies like Google, atlassian, Intuit, ibm, jio, infordge, hyperverge and many more visits. Last year highest package was 83 lakhs offerd by atlassian. Average was around 11 lakhs. About 92 percent were placed

The living conditions like hostel which are very spacious.
The distance from main city which is just 6 km

Dislikes

Lack of campus which is directly affecting our freedom.
The lack of ac in hostel and classrooms during summer

Placement Experience:

placements start from 7th semester the number of offers are not that well like double but like 130 per 100 students, which i think is quite good for a newer college. the percentage of students placed who applied is around 80 percent after which some opt for GATE or MBA , etc .
