Course Curriculum Overview

My jee advanced rank was 1875 and according to me this is the best course I can get on that rank from general category. Faculty members are more than enough and all faculty members are highly qualified Exams are 4 times a semester.

Internships Opportunities

If you are from circuital branch and a good CPI with decent skills you can easily get a internship. If you are from North circuital still you can get intership but you have to work hard. Clubs provides you various projects also

Placement Experience

After 4th semester campus offers the internships and after 7th semester placement session starts. Placements are quite good or even good. Packages depends on a lot of things but if you work normal then you can get more than avg package

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are high but do not worry about this IIT will provide you deduction on the basis of your family income and also a lot of scholarships . And at the end you are in the top university of india so job opportunities are good

Campus Life

There are a lot of fest like alcheringa, spardha, manthan and kriti, techince and bla bla. Library is quite large . 75% attendance is mandatory You can get all sports facilities and clubs culture are too good.

Hostel Facilities

Facilities are quite good if you get new hostels but when it comes to old hostels you have to adjust a bit but it's easy. About meal, they are quite good according to hostel mess. Registration process is easy.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

You have to crack JEE mains + advanced both. Minimum 75% in board examination of 12th class. Online forms are available from their official site A lot of benefits from reservation. No that much it is ok i think.

Placement Experience:

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.

A glimpse of IIT Guwahati

For admission in this course you have to clear IIT JAM exam and secure a good rank under 100 of you are a general candidate. You can easily find the application details on Google. There are reservation benifits to avail which you can check on the website. The Admission process is basically relies on the rankings obtained in JEE Advanced, organized by various IITs. During my time that is in 2021 IIT KGP conducted the exam. Intially, qualification in JEE mains is a prerequiste to be eligible for JEE advanced.The application form for jee advanced is made available on its official website with a fee of 2700 rupees for general category students in 2021. You have to qualify jee mains and sit in jee advanced exam where you first need to clear the cutoff and then apply for IITs in josaa counselling, then colleges roll out their opening and closing rank based on your category rank, if you rank lie between them, then you can take admission in that college. A worth-reading review, for sure

The admission into all IITs will be through JEE ADVANCED exam. I was able to clear JEE MAIN exam with a good rank of AIR 1082 . Thus I got eligible to sit in JEE ADVANCED and cleared it with a decent rank of AIR 5152. The application process and alotment will be through JOSAA portal. I applied for all the top IITs (only for CSE & MNC as per my interest) and I'm a female OBC candidate(OBC RANK: 1002). So I got alotted MNC in IIT GUWAHATI . The cutoff in our year is around 1200 in OBC female category. JOSAA counselling portal takes fees of 3000 only and we give our order of preference in IITs , NITs and IIITs as per our interest and we will be alotted a seat as per our rank....Read More
