Remarks :
Overall the college is the best one for Research, placements and personal life also. I can give an overall rating of 9 out of 10 in all categories
Entrance Preview :
GATE..623/1000...Good place for research. First, they conducted a written test,s and then the qualified students are interviewed by a panel of subject experts of the same college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It's very well in terms of research in all emerging engineering concepts. The institute has good collaborations with universities in Australia, Japan, etc with sponsorship from the college for the selected students. So many students from other countries also joining through funded programs
Internships Opportunities :
Generally, they provide internships for a stipulated period during summer and that too for selected courses and/or projects they have at that particular time. And they will provide a reasonable amount for a convenient stay on the campus along with a stipend ranging from 15-20K depending on the kind and duration of the work they allot to the interns.
Placement Experience :
IIT Bombay is the best-known institute for campus placements all over the country and is apparently called the placement Hub for the graduates. many MNC core companies, software companies, research institutes, Engineering colleges (For recruitment of faculty) along with Public Sector Undertakings also visits the campus frequently. Job is guaranteed for all ( around or >95%)
College Events :
Welcome events for the freshers by seniors for each discipline separately. Annual College event- MOOD INDIGO ( Asian largest annual college festival) conducted in the month of December. Each department conducts its own technical festival in the months of March-April many of the Bollywood celebrities frequently visit the campus for their movie promotion or for cultural events etc,
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is regulated by the Government and is feasible. Students can avail of Educational loans at reasonable interest rates on the campus itself or they can contact the institute alumni for help on the campus itself. For UG students it's around 1 lakh per year and for postgraduates, it's around 30,000 per semester apart from the accommodation fee which is 3000 per month for all.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarship will be given to selected students of Undergraduate based on Merit/category/Performance in the preceding semesters etc. No scholarships are provided for the Post Graduate students apart from the stipend they receive 12400 per month for M.tech, 25000-28000 For Ph.D.) Apart From that, students can avail loans for Purchasing Laptops or pay Educational fee For nominal Interest rates
Campus Life :
there are many female students studying all departments and so many research scholars and its a very safe place for everybody to work even at night times. The campus has a rich bio-diversity, cattle, trees, flowers etc. There's no scope for Racism, caste, and religion etc at all. But students from all states can celebrate their festivals and they form communities also. Most of the students coming here ar from middle-class background and there are no economic disputes amongst the students
Hostel Facilities :
the food is good and very cheap (nearly 3000 per month with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner). All the freshers will get sharing rooms (2 or 3 per room), They will be given single rooms from the succeeding year. there is no such case arrives where students won't get accommodation as the admissions are given as per the availability only and all residents are required to be on the campus ( unless they are residents of the same city ) to avail all the facilities provided on the campus
Alumni/Alumna :
The best part of the institution is the Institute alumni. Each passing out student joins the alumni and takes part in the prosperity of the Institute and its upcoming students by arranging them free Workshops, motivational lectures, Startup ideas, business awareness, etc by constantly engaging with the Alumni cell.
Exam Structure :
the curriculum and the examination schedule were well structured that no student feels it hectic to attend. Laboratory examinations are conducted on the campus itself providing a very comfortable timing for all the students in slots ( can be interchanged as per personal requests by the students). The students can chill out their time happily
Admission :
I wrote the entrance test (GATE,2015) and applied to the college for admission online when they opened the portal. And I was shortlisted based on Gate score and category. Then I was called for a written test followed by an interview where I have to face a panel of subject experts. after that, I was informed later through email that I was selected.
Faculty :
They are very good in terms of technical knowledge, research, and intrapersonal activities also. E-class rooms and advanced learning methods are being utilized by many of the faculty members. They always try to update their knowledge as per the coming advancements in the field of science and technology.
