Remarks :

To get admission in IITs I gave JEE ADV, and to take the Economics branch in IIT Kanpur the rank should be below 2000. Application forms are there on the official Jee-adv website and the application fee is around 2500. There is a reservation for OBC and SC/ST.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had an interest in Economics so I choose this course. The faculty to students ratio is 5:1. All teachers are well qualified and are helpful enough but their teaching methods are not that good. Term exams were easy and there were two exams every semester.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 225000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many companies that come in internship sessions of IIT Kanpur and they give a good stipend also. I have done many Machine learning projects here like credit card fraud detection using supervised machine learning.

Placement Experience :

The placements were good. The highest package was 55lpa and avg package was 19lpa. All top tach companies visit here like Google, GS, MS, Amazon visit here. Around 95% of students were placed. I am joining JioSaavn.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees of IITs are quite higher than that of NITs. We pay around 225000 every year, but for the students with financial problems, there is a 66% to 100% rebate in tuition Fees. There are scholarships for poor students like MCM, FBM.

Campus Life :

Annual Cult fest - Antaragni (October) Sports fest - Udgoash (September) Tech fest - Techriti (March) IITK has a big library and you will find most of the books here. Sports facilities are good enough here. There are all types of clubs here like Dance, Dramatics, Music, Fine Arts etc

Hostel Facilities :

Table, chair, bed, cupboard, etc are provided in the room. Mess food is good here compared to other colleges. Hostels are affordable and prices are reasonable. Rooms are provided by colleges and we need to live there only.

All about Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics of IITK is great. Every year many 1cr+ packages as well as international packages are offered by top companies to students. The placement percentage is also increasing every year. The students become eligible to apply for companies after 3rd year ie. after 6th semester. The highest package offered was 4cr per annum while the average package was 22lacs per annum. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good paying job and start working.

There campus placements are very impressive. But in our branch the placement have not been started because it is new branch but it have very promising hopes of good employment in the upcoming years. The optimistic IITian

Placement Experience:

The college offers various placement opportunities. Many companies come and take people. It's usually starts in the month of December in the final year. I can tell about my branch average package is 33 lakhs and about some 90 lakh is highest package. Various tech non teach companies come like Google, Microsoft, sprinkler etc The minimum salary offered is 6 lakh per annum. People can easily get placement outside college because of IIT tag.

Course is relevant but it maybe little bit hectic in starting. Maths courses are lot theoretical than JEE where you only have to calculate and no matter how. Here you have to write a mathematical essay on a question and essay should be to the point too

The LIFE IN IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college is very impressive.From 3rd year onwards students are eligible campus placement.The Students having CPI 7 ARE eligible for campus placements , they wil not see only academics,they will also see in which they have participated,what are they capable in college programs in achieving, does he have leadership qualities or not , these many things they observe while doing campus placements . There are many companies visited to our campus, i will mention some of them like Google, Amazon, Zomato, Microsoft, TCS , ETC... In each branch nearly 150 to 200 offers are made .In my college the last year highest package is 8.9 crores and the average pakage is above 35 lakhs .The percentage of students getting campus placements is 89percentage .And my plan is getting the job in campus placements

Life after JEE

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course as i loved mathematics. And i was eligible to take this course on the basis of jee rank. The faculty student ratio is about 11.This is a top tier institute in India and hence the faculty are highly qualified with post doctorate degrees in thier respective domain from well known universities.They teach in asuch a way that ignites my curiosity in that course.We are taught some courses out of our discipline so we can explore more things.Mid sem exams are held after 2 months of starting of semester followed by end sems after other two months.quizes are held on certain dates keeping into consideration the convenience of students as well as the faculties.
