Remarks :

Due to IIT Kanpur's amazing infrastructure across every department, I chose it. The admission was conducted based on the GATE score. I applied for the course through the online mode and registration with the COAP portal was mandatory. As the Registration number of COAP was required. The admission fee I paid was Rs. 400. There was a personal interview round also included in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is a full-time residential course with four semesters. Along with core courses, there were six elective courses also there. Attendance was mandatory so don’t try to skip the classes as we all do. The classes and faculty members both were very much helpful. During the summer break after the second semester, we did the summer training. At the end of the fourth semester, we have to submit the thesis. It was basically a one-year-long thesis on the elective which we took.

Class Size : 24Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience :

So we got work opportunities from diverse fields according to the expertise, some of the fields were manufacturing system, supply chain management, data analytics, supply chain management, logistics, infrastructure management, etc. The highest salary package offered was Rs. 21.5 LPA and the average salary of Rs. 12 LPA were offered in our final placement program. The recruiters who participated in the final campus recruitment were Deloitte, IBM, master card, PWC, Cognizant, Credit Suisse, Walmart, Core compete, Tata Motors, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I paid around Rs 100000 as the yearly tuition fee. The annual fee I paid was around Rs. 2 Lac. I have applied for any scholarship, but I would like to recommend taking an education loan. Names of the scholarship schemes, I can remember were merit cum means based scholarship, Inspire scholarship, etc.

Campus Life :

For motivation and encouragement educational awards like the academic excellence award, convocation award, prize, and medals used to be organized for the students. Health care centers and sports centers used to be part of our recreational activities on the campus. According to the hobbies we were motivated to join the hobby clubs, I was a member of the 'Adventure' Club. I was a member of the music club also, the different socio-cultural events took place at our campus and I actively participated in it.

Campus placement like 2 months summer intern, 6 months intern + full time can be offered by companies, Most student get full time opportunity through 2 month summer intern Students having offer for intern are eligible for full time also since cahncea of ppo is not consider as their offer Sometimes offer revoked student get additional support for next one year through college for placement, student getting offer for package can again apply for 2x offer if new company visit for twice the offer Generally package are within 15-20 lpa for ece, cse and electrical student and psu also visit for offer direct through interview so many opportunity are given to student than expected

Masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2023-2035

Placement Experience:

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Campus Placements are great, there is a market slowdown but most(70%) of them from mtech got placed this year and still the placements are going on. Other than that you will have internship opportunities from the college or as well as outside the campus as well. From the last two years, 6-month internship is provided to mtech as well.
