Remarks :
Who does not want an opportunity to complete an engineering degree from an IIT? During my B.Tech program I decided to pursue M.Tech from an IIT and I worked very hard in my academics and started to prepare for GATE from 2nd year so that I can secure a good percentage to secure a seat in top IITs of India. My hard work paid me I secured 81% in my academics and my GATE score was between 400 to 520. I was looking for the college as per my score and I found that I am able to clear the cutoff criteria of IIT Bombay and without wasting a single moment I applied for COAP counselling and I was able to get a seat in IIT Bombay. Which was like a dream come true for me. IIT Bombay is ranked 3rd in engineering college in India. I was obliged to be part of such a prestigious college of India.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In comparison to other IITs, the curriculum of IIT Bombay is top-notch and as per the latest industrial guidelines, the curriculum follows the latest international and national norms and standards. IIT Bombay is widely recognised and is very popular for its educational standards. The labs are modern and we are given ample opportunity to show our innovative ideas and research work.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship is mandatory and we can take part in the internship program after completing the 1st year of our program. Around 75+ companies visited our campus during the internship program. The stipend for an internship depends according to the companies but usually, the average stipend is around Rs. 95000/-.
Placement Experience :
The college is quite popular for its placement. The college has a 100% record for placement. The college placement committee is very active and dedicated they properly take our feedback and help us and work as a guiding force during the college placement round. The college placement committee makes sure that every one of us is placed as per our interests. The highest package for our batch was around 1.25 CPA and the average salary package was approx 18.50 LPA. Few of my batchmates received international placement and few of them received pre-placement offers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college offers scholarships on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The course fee is around 1.30 lakh which is quite affordable for a college like IIT Bombay and the college provides one of the best returns on investment as per the fees. The college provides scholarships through various schemes like Institute's Scholarships, Govt. Campus Life :
The college infrastructure is well maintained. The seniors and the administrative staff of the college are friendly. The college provides good opportunities for research work and provides a good environment for studies. The college organises fests like Mood Indigo(cultural fest) and Techfests of IIT Bombay very popular and some Tech fests are the biggest tech fests of Asia. The library is the house of lots of international books and international research journals. The campus life of the college is very fun and good.
Hostel Facilities :
The rooms are available on double sharing and single accommodation as per the program. The hostel infrastructure and rooms are well maintained. The rooms are regularly cleaned. The mess food is good and tasty and cooked in a hygienic space. The hostel rooms are provided with LAN connectivity. The hostel also has 24 hours of WiFi facility. The hostel provides us with all kinds of facilities and at this price point, the stay in the hostel is worth it.
Faculty :
The faculty is one of the best. All the faculty of the college is of PhD level with good industrial exposure. The faculty teaching methods are a blend of traditional and modern techniques which helps us to understand all the concepts in a simple manner.
