Remarks :

I was allotted NIT Goa during my JOSAA counseling first I was a little sceptical about the college but after knowing that college is part of the Institute of National Importance and has a good placement report all my hesitance just vanished. To be part of NIT Goa I have to clear JEE mains exam and must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in my 10+2. I completely meet all the cutoff criteria of NIT Goa. The campus is completely ragging-free.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is pretty basic and as per the industrial standards. All the concepts and fundamentals of CSE are properly cleared. The curriculum is a mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge that helps us to develop our skills and decision-making abilities. The curriculum properly syncs with real-world scenarios of industries.

Class Size : 45Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is optional and we can also opt for an off-campus internship. If we want to opt for an on-campus internship the placement committee is very supportive and cooperative they help to identify the good companies for internship. It is not necessary that we will get stipends for the internship as the stipends depend according to the company.

Placement Experience :

The college has a good placement rapport. The college provides good placement for CSE and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee is very helpful and cooperative. They help and guide us during the college placement process and make sure that we are placed. The highest package for our batch was around 20 LPA and the average package was approx 10 LPA. companies like Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Siemens, TCS, Infosys, Mphasis, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc visited our campus during the college placement drive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The scholarship on a merit basis is also available. Scholarships for SC/ST/PWD are also available. The college provides scholarships through more than 5+ programs. To know more about the college scholarship program you can visit the college campus r the official website of the college.

Campus Life :

The campus life of the college is pretty simple. The college seniors and the administrative staff is friendly and the college follows the no ragging concept strictly. the college organizes events like debate competitions. dance competition, art and music competition. The classrooms are very big and spacious. the college library has many books from all kinds of authors. The college infrastructure is well maintained.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is well maintained and rooms are properly cleaned. The rooms are cleaned on regular basis. The rooms are equipped with study tables, beds, and almirahs for every student. The hostel mess food is of good quality. The wardens are very friendly and cooperative. The hostel provides us with all kinds of facilities. AT this price point the hostel is worth it and it is like a second home for us.

Hostel Fee : INR 8000 per year

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is of PhD level. College does not compromise with the quality of the faculty. The faculty members are friendly and we can approach the faculty at any time to clear our doubts and also help us. There is a mutual understanding between us and the faculty.

Average CTC is about 11LPA. Highest is about 50LPA offered by google. Students are eligible for placements in their final year first semister (7th sem). Students can do 6 month internship in 8th sem and can get PPO. during the summer break students can also do a 2 month internship .

Visiting the interiors!

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Facts about NIT Goa to know

Placement Experience:

The placements have been quite decent and have had 100% placements in the past. The average comes to be a bit average but the highest package so far might be above 44LPA. The main branchea company hire students from are CSE ECE and EEE. The number of students getting placed from CSE and ECE are very good and have good salary packages around 10LPA

Friendly Faculty

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after reaching in the last year that is 7th semester, various companies visit for placement, including Samsung, Adobe, Nvidia, etc. The average package lies around 12LPA and highest at 25LPA, and last year around 200 offers were given across all branches. For circuital branch the placement percentage is around 90+ and lower for non circuital branches. Many students opt for higher studies after completing the course

BITS Pilani - It's truly magic ?

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of my college is great. The complanies that recruit from my college are from tech, core and finance. My college is a Tier 1 college so the placements are also in the upper strata. The overall avg package of campus is around 15 lakhs and avg package of CS department reaches 30 lakhs. 90% of the batch gets placed and the rest of the students either go for higher studies or start their own startup.
