zero percent attendance has to be the best thing, you don't have to really care about maintaining a attendence unlike other colleges
placement and intersnship opportunities - practice school system at bits allows every student to get a internship in company

Huge Fees is an increasingly growing problem here though management is taking some actions but still 30+ lakhs for a bachelors degree is pretty high
hectic academic structure- academic structure every semester contains 7-8 courses and continuous evaluation makes course curriculum pretty hectic

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum meets the needs of bachelors degree, a few courses are outdated but are soon to be removed. speaking of relevance you won't learn a skill just by taking a course on it efforts from your side are also needed. If one really needs to improve their skills working on study project with a professor can greatly help

Class Size : 270Course Fees : INR 3334018 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Major internships oppurtunities are through Summer Internship Program(SIP) and Practice school program(PS). In SIP major companies visit campus to recruit interns, one has to go through the interview procedure to bag a internship while for PS college allots internships to students based on their cgpa

Placement Experience :

Placements is one of feature of choosing Bits over other colleges. All Major companies in all engineering fields visit to recruit students. Major Placement of student happens through on campus interviews, pre-placement offers in practice school-2 and summer internships

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for single degree student - 30+ lakhs over 4 years Fees for dual degree studenr - 35+ lakhs over 5 years Scholarships: These scholarships are given on the basis of cgpa. merit scholarship - top 3% of the batch gets 100% scholarship while next 3% gets 40% merit cum need (Income limit - 15 lpa as of 2024) - 3% gets 80%, 6% gets 40%, rest get 25%. Other then these there are also few minor scholarships like student aid financial assistance. Loans: Banks are present on campus which offer education loan for all course fees at interest rate of ~8.5%

Campus Life :

Campus life is very vibrant, there are three fests that host 1000s of student all over the country during the year which mainly are Waves (cultural fest), Spree (sports fest), Quark(Technical Fest). Campus has over 30 active clubs with interest such as Art, Photography, Development, Dance, Singing, Competitive Coding, Finance, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

At bits you have to compulsory stay at the hostels provided by the college. Hostels are pretty well maintained with double room at 1st year and then single room from second year. Hostel washrroms are cleaned every day by the maids

Hostel Fee : INR 20000 per year

Admission :

One has to give bitsat exam, then after than there is counselling process where 6-7 rounds (iterations) are conducted . One has to secure an overall aggregate of 75% in PCM to be eligible for admission process. Cutt-offs of all courses are available on official bits website.

Faculty :

Most of the faculty members have a Phd in their respective fields they are highly experienced and most of them have ongoing research interest, a lot of faculties are also ex-IIT professors, teaching skills are good enough to take you through the course but a few can only generate you an interest in the a course

Placement Experience:

Average CTC is about 11LPA. Highest is about 50LPA offered by google. Students are eligible for placements in their final year first semister (7th sem). Students can do 6 month internship in 8th sem and can get PPO. during the summer break students can also do a 2 month internship .

Visiting the interiors!

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Facts about NIT Goa to know

Placement Experience:

The placements have been quite decent and have had 100% placements in the past. The average comes to be a bit average but the highest package so far might be above 44LPA. The main branchea company hire students from are CSE ECE and EEE. The number of students getting placed from CSE and ECE are very good and have good salary packages around 10LPA

Friendly Faculty

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement after reaching in the last year that is 7th semester, various companies visit for placement, including Samsung, Adobe, Nvidia, etc. The average package lies around 12LPA and highest at 25LPA, and last year around 200 offers were given across all branches. For circuital branch the placement percentage is around 90+ and lower for non circuital branches. Many students opt for higher studies after completing the course

BITS Pilani - It's truly magic ?

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of my college is great. The complanies that recruit from my college are from tech, core and finance. My college is a Tier 1 college so the placements are also in the upper strata. The overall avg package of campus is around 15 lakhs and avg package of CS department reaches 30 lakhs. 90% of the batch gets placed and the rest of the students either go for higher studies or start their own startup.
