Remarks :

IIT Kanpur is the fourth-best engineering institute in India by NIRF. The college is quite popular for its education standards and especially for its CSE program. As CSE was my main subject and the placement record of the college is also good I decided to be part of the college. The candidate must clear it GATE exam and must secure a minimum of 60% marks in a degree program from a recognised institute. After clearing the GATE exam candidate must appear for COAP counselling and after clearing COAP counselling the candidate has to appear with its document in front of the admission depart of the college for GD and PI round.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The college is quite popular for its educational standards. The curriculum is designed to enable creative learning and to impart research knowledge to students so that they nurture their analytical and leadership skills. The curriculum works as a bridge between academic knowledge and industry knowledge for students.

Class Size : 55Course Fees : INR 215000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is part of the college curriculum program. After completing the first-year student is eligible for it internship program. If any of the students are busy in the research program can skip the internship after taking permission from the research in charge of concerned faculty and by submitting a research letter copy to the placement committee. The internship stipend starts from Rs. 35000/ to Rs. 1,50,000/- according to the tenure of the internship.

Placement Experience :

The college placement record is very good. the return on investment is worth it. The college has a record of 100% placement. Most of the student also receives pre-placement offers during their internship programs. The highest package during our batch went up to 65 LPA and the average package was around 35 LPA. I also received an offer of 40 LPA from Google. Companies like Google and Microsoft offer attractive packages to the student and try to attract the best talent they can. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Ford, Mercedes Benz, etc visit our campus during the placement drive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides a wide variety of scholarship programs for merit students and for SC/ST/PWD students. The college also provides the facility of education loans. You can avail the details about the education loan from the admission department. There are several scholarship programs for students from different categories. To know about the eligibility criteria of the scholarship program you can visit the college's official website.

Campus Life :

The campus life of the college is very good, The seniors of the college are very friendly and supportive. Most of the student time on the campus is utilized in research work and studies. The college also organizes a few events and fests. The fests like Antaragni-cultural fest, Techkriti-technical fest and Udghosh-sports fest is the main attraction point for the students. The college library is equipped with lots of books and international journals.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 13 hostels for students. The hostel rooms are very big and properly ventilated. The rooms are available on double sharing and single sharing. The rooms are regularly cleaned. The hostel is properly maintained. The hostel also provides 24 hours high-speed WiFi facility. The food of the mess is tasty and as well healthy. The menu keeps on changing. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of basic facilities for students.

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per year

Faculty :

The faculties of the college are highly experienced and with industrial exposure which is very beneficial for students. Most of the college professors are of Ph.D. level with good research work experience. The faculty are experts in their field and they blend the traditional and modern teaching methods in so easy way that students are able to understand all the concepts easily.

Campus placement like 2 months summer intern, 6 months intern + full time can be offered by companies, Most student get full time opportunity through 2 month summer intern Students having offer for intern are eligible for full time also since cahncea of ppo is not consider as their offer Sometimes offer revoked student get additional support for next one year through college for placement, student getting offer for package can again apply for 2x offer if new company visit for twice the offer Generally package are within 15-20 lpa for ece, cse and electrical student and psu also visit for offer direct through interview so many opportunity are given to student than expected

Masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2023-2035

Placement Experience:

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Campus Placements are great, there is a market slowdown but most(70%) of them from mtech got placed this year and still the placements are going on. Other than that you will have internship opportunities from the college or as well as outside the campus as well. From the last two years, 6-month internship is provided to mtech as well.
