CLAT 2025 Preparation
With just 2 months left for CLAT 2025, it's crucial to streamline your preparation. This is the time to start giving mock tests, analyze your results, and make improvements. However, before diving into mocks, ensure you’re preparing for each section individually. Let’s break it down:
Preparation
With only two months left until the CLAT 2024 exam, it's crucial to have a solid strategy in place for exam day. If you haven't developed one yet, make sure to do so as soon as possible. At this stage, it's important to focus on refining your preparation.
However, if you're someone who has just started preparing, don't worry. CollegeDunia experts have crafted a strategy that works for both early and late starters.
The Basics
- Long sitting-Deciding to appear for the CLAT 2024 exam and pursuing a career in law is not a short-term goal. Becoming a lawyer or judge is a long-term journey. This journey begins when you start preparing for CLAT. You need to develop the habit of sitting for longer durations, as success in CLAT requires more than 30 minutes to an hour of study. Your daily sitting time should be a minimum of 3-4 hours.
- Number of mock per week-Mocks are essential for building a strong exam strategy. However, this doesn't mean you need to take a mock test every day. Instead, 2-3 mocks per week are sufficient. The primary focus should be on analyzing and revising the mocks to understand your mistakes and improve.
- Practice of weaker sections-When you start analyzing mocks, you'll be able to identify your stronger and weaker sections. From there, you can focus on preparing for your weaker sections and revising the stronger ones. This will help save time.
- Timetable strategy-With only two months left for CLAT, you might be considering dedicating more than 12 hours a day to study. While it's important to put in the effort, a proper strategy is also required. There are many topics to cover and an unlimited amount of current affairs to keep up with, but don’t increase your daily tasks beyond 5-6. Doing more than that can become overwhelming, leading to confusion and negatively impacting your health and motivation, especially if the results aren’t immediate.
- Previous year question paper and current affairs- One of the best ways to stay updated on current affairs is by reviewing previous mocks, especially the current affairs section. This will give you a clear understanding of the types of questions and current events they are focusing on, allowing you to prepare accordingly.
Here we are helping you with the daily schedule, you can modify it according to your need and requirement.
Daily Schedule
Current Affairs (4-5 hours)
Breakdown:
- New Topics- 2-3 hours (Stay updated with the latest current affairs)
- Revision Topics-1-2 hours (Revise previously covered current affairs)

- Read a variety of articles, editorials, and legal updates. This will help improve your comprehension skills for the reading comprehension section and develop general awareness for current affairs and legal reasoning.
Sectionals (2.5 hours)
Breakdown:
- Practice-1.5 hours (Work on individual sections like legal reasoning, quantitative techniques, English, logical reasoning)
- Analysis-1 hour (Analyze your performance, noting mistakes and areas to improve)

Mock Analysis
After taking a CLAT mock test, it's crucial to evaluate your progress and determine how close you are to securing admission to your dream college. Here, we provide the recommended number of attempts needed for a strong CLAT score.
Section insights- Attempts v/s Accuracy-
Based on the expected number of questions provided, we recommend prioritizing accuracy over the sheer number of attempts to achieve a strong score. Here’s a section-wise strategy for you:
1. English
Aim to attempt a reasonable number of questions, ideally close to the cutoff, but prioritize accuracy to score well. So understanding reading speed in the language is key.
2. Current Affairs
Current affairs section typically rewards factual knowledge, so attempt questions confidently where you are sure of the answer. Focus on accuracy here.
3. Data Interpretation
Since the number of questions is lower here, accuracy is important. Attempt less but ensure accuracy, as even a small number of wrong answers could impact your score.
4. Logical Reasoning
A higher number of questions in this section allows room for more attempts, but accuracy is equally important. Logical reasoning often involves traps.
5. Legal Reasoning
This section has the highest number of questions, and since it's completely based on concepts, attempting more questions can increase your chances of scoring well.
