Year wise total fees are 63000 including lab fees, hostel fees, medical insurance, library fees, exam fees, exam transcript fees, etc. The mess charges are seperate but subsidised. Medical insurance covers a lot of expenses in hospitals.

IISER Pune classifies the fee structure into two categories. The first category stands for Gen/OBC/EWC/KM and the 2nd for SC/ST/PwD. The total fees for the first category(including hostel) is Rs 71,502/sem and for the 2nd category is Rs.27047/sem. The fees is Semester-wise 68000 rs for 1st sem and 60000 rs for 2nd sem for Caregories like General, EWS, OBC. Per year the total fees expense will be around 135000 rs including hostel. For SC and ST category the Semester fees is around rs 18000 ( ig it is 17500 rs per semester). Their total per year well be around 40000rs. Mess not included in both cases. Scholarships which is provided is INSPIRE scholar which college authorities will take into their hands will submit form and everything. Student can apply for thier state scholarship or any government scholarship by themself and can approve it from acadamic office. You can also apply for any private scholarship you want.

The course fees per year for general and obc students is 80,000 and for sc/st/pwd is extremely low around 25,000. The fees remain same across course. The scholarship are of 2 type 1) through National Scholarship Portal , from which you can get your tution fees back. 2) Merit base scholarship , the most popular here is INSPIRE Scholarship, students who are in top 1 percentile of their class 12 board and under 10000 rank in jee mains and jee advanced.

REVIEW OF IISER KOLKATA

The respective charges for 1st semester are: i) Admission fees(Registration fees, alumni, medical examination and insurance) = 3700 ii) Semester fees = 46155 (Tuition fees for general: Rs44,455 and 0 for SC/ST/PD Lab fees : 500) iii) Hostel Fees(Seat rent, Electricity and drinking water supply) = 8550 iv) Caution Deposit = 3000 v) Thesis and convocation fee = 1000 This all counts to Rs 62,405 for first sem. As per their shared data the approx fees for one semester is Rs56,205. which adds up to 10 sems with medical charges and equals the total fees for five years i.e Rs 5,75,750. I'll be getting the INSPIRE scholarship and others might get other scholarships. The topper for first two sems are awarded with C.N.Rao award along with some cash prizes.
