College usually provides internship opportunities by themselves in third year but one can always do themselves. We get messages from various organisations for these type of opportunities in our official group, one of them being MYCAPTAIN. They offer a variety of courses to enhance our skills and then we can get started with internships. Since most of our faculty has great connections with industry they also help us in getting some work and experience. Just for the experience I did internship in NGOs like- MUSKURAHAT FOUNFATION with a stipend of 1,000 for a month- I was a crowdfunding intern, PEHCHAAN THE STREET SCHOOL- doesn't offer any stipend- a content writer.

Usually, we need to apply for internships on our own. It can vary from hardcore design studios to advertising or fashion agencies. The usual stipend is 10,000-15,000 for master's students. For undergraduates, it could vary from 5,000 to 10,000.
Well, I didi an internship at Arvind Denim limited, and then I worked with Punjab Je sari in Delhi. Apart from that, there are many companies, you will find out that are proving internship opportunities only for NIFT. NIFT Ians are preferred in the design field. So, you will find opportunities. You have to keep looking for it and get connected.
After the 4th and 6th semesters there is an internship in the curriculum one being the textile and the other is in the apparel field. Mostly the students try and find the contact of their preferred company and apply but if you want college can also help you out.
On the basis of availability, course and many other aspects, students are offered internships in their 6th semester. Students maintain their cv or their performance sheets too to analyze their best call for internships in various companies.
Yes, my college offer internship among Raymond, Arvind mills and in other textile companies. Still, I am in my first year so I don't have much knowledge about this. When I will complete my degree then I will let everyone know about this.
The placements offered have not been good for a couple of years because the market has been down for a while. Otherwise, the placements are generally good. The various textile industries like Arvind mills, Raymonds, Ashima, etc visit the campus for the placement. The salary solely depends on the company you get placed in. It starts from about Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum.
Average package in 2017 was 4-5 lac CTC. And the highest was 11 lac but not sure. Lots of startup and big brands like arvinds, lifestyle, tanishq, pcj and naukari. Com comes in the placement. But there is a lot of competition for the placements lot of preference is given to students of the placement centre.
