NIFT Delhi Admission 2024
Admission to all the programs at NIFT Delhi is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam followed by a Situation Test or Personal Interview depending on the course. All the eligible candidates applying for NIFT Delhi Admission have to appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam that comprises a General Ability Test (GAT) for all the UG and PG Programs, and also an additional Creative Ability Test (CAT) for B.Des and M.Des. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the entrance exam will have to then appear for the Situation Test or Personal Interview, if applicable. NIFT Entrance Exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) that will be conducted in various cities in India.

- The college can be a little unorganised. Students may not know of a lot of important things till the very end of it’s schedule.
- The timings of the classes are really hectic, you have to study one subject for about 3 hours and you loose your attention for it by the end. Teachers tho push your limit in a good way sometimes it goes out of reach
Admission:
The cut-off depends on the overall rank that you get in your exam, your rank also determines which campus and what part of India you can go to. If you're choosing to go to Delhi Mumbai or Bangalore your rank as a design student needs to be within 150 or so and technology is also the same. The exams they conduct are two parts for design where and one exam for fashion technology.

- I really liked the way the course was structered. In the foundation year we had a little bit of everything to vasten our knowledge and skills.
- The teachers are approachable and supportive. The interiors of the college provide a really good atmosphere for a design student.

- The campus is a little too small. I wish it was a little bigger for us to enjoy a better campus life.
- The mess food could definitely be improved. The quality is not up to the par.
Admission:
You become eligible after giving your 12th exams after which you can find the application form on the official website of NIFT when the new admission year begins. The application fees was 2000 rupees. The forms come out around December. I scored 140 rank under OBC category and 700 under the open category. There are reservation benefits for those who qualify under the categories of OBC, GEN-EWS, SC/ST. The exams take place sometime in February. The structure of the exam is pretty simple with 60% CAT (drawing) and 40% GAT (theory) portion.

- The campus is really welcoming and clean. First year students need that welcoming vibe and aura around themselves which NIFT GNR offers by including various activities and fun filled events so that it’s easy for new students to accept the place.
- The main campus building itself is an example of a complex thus beautiful design. Campus includes mess, gym, stationary, doctors for physical and mental well being along with hostel and playgrounds for sports activities.
Admission:
Every year the forms are released around september/october. Nift consists two rounds- CAT(drawing) and GAT(general aptitude) and once you clear these two round they conduct a last round called- SITUATION TEST( where they provide materials and topic on the spot and you have to make model right there at NIFT centers nearest you). Anyone who has completed their 10+2 can give the test Its a 4 year course for bachelors (B.Des) and 2 years course for masters (M.FM/M.Des). You have to give test for both. If you're an artisan you're given the top most priority. I think the only thing that they can improve is in making their website better as it has been legacy that is still continuing- when the results are out the website hangs and then it takes 1-2 days to get it fixed then they release the results again.

Admission:
The eligibility is quite simple. You need to have passed 12th exams from any board. Application forms are made available on the website with regular reminders. If you got reservation of obc, sc/st, ews, or domicile of a particular state where NIFT exists, chances are you'll crack in easily. The exam happens once every year with 2 exams on the same day and an interview later on. R-quota can be corrected for the admission process.

- Poor placement records with very low salaries offered. Professor encourage to enter the industry with lower salaries which is very disappointing given the high fees that a student pays and the kind of hard work which is required to pursue the course

For applying to B. F. Tech, we have to sit for the entrance exam GAT - General ability testin the month of February. The selection is done based on your performance in the test and then counselling session is done where the centres where you can choose the centres available at your rank.

For the admission first they take GAT and CAT which is the general ability test and creative ability test. After this if you are selected from this round than you have the other round which is the Situation Test/ Studio Test here you are given with different materials and using that you have to make a 3D model according to the given theme options and in the given time. After this round you get the final result but if you are a lateral entrant you will have to give an interview after the studio test for the final result. You have the counselling round at the last where you have to select the campus according to you CMR.

- One of the best things about college life is that you get a new experience every day. In my college life, along with studying, I and my friends enjoyed a lot of other things. We traveled to lots of places, had new experiences, and learned new things
- Most of the students go to another city, state or country for their College studies. This provides them with a lot of freedom and everyone likes freedom. And so do us.
Dislikes
- It was away from main city so we needed to travel alot after first year as they only allow us to stay in hostels for 1 year
- Making new friends and fitting in can be hectic for somepeople especially introverted people. So more mandatory extra curricular activities are needed for ice btreaking.
Admission:
Course is 100% eligible for people who are interested in fashion and have technical background. You can find application form and other details in nift official website. Reservation benefits are definitely available. It provides students opportunity to be in a good college based on reserved seats of their cast. Domicile seats are also available. Detailed information is mentioned in nift official site. Exams happen once a year and it is different for tech and design Student. Bftech and bdesign are 2 options available. For technical students, If you are good in current affairs, English and maths, it won't be that difficult. For design students, there's one additional exam called situation test which tests designing and thinking skills of students. Difficulty level is not high if you are creative. Areas of improvement: I would want that there should be lesser reserved seats so that general students who scored good marks can also get the college of their dreams.

You have GAT paper. Maths English and gk is majorly from where questions are formed. The paper is of 150 marks . According to your score a rank is given then admission process happen according to your rank campuses are allocated.

- Teachers in our college are amazing especially Tech, TD and FC .The combination of dedicated faculty, relevant course work and innovative assessment makes students industry ready even their are multiple industry visits for practical knowledge.
- Placements : Many leading companies actively seek out for NIFT graduates for employement oppourtunities. It is important to note that placements are merit based irrespective of campus best portfolio wins.
Dislikes
- Hostels are bit needed to be managed properly they are old and you cannot survive in extreme heat the college administration should prioritize addressing these concerns to ensure that the student living experience is comfortable
- Stationary are costly students prefer to get their most of the stationaries from metro cities or back from their home.

So for BFtech one needed tp have pcm in maths beacuse you'll need to deal with technical aspects. You have to give GAT exam for entrance. And so for Bdes you can apply with any background. You have to give GAT as well as CAT.

- The hostels are situated within the campus which benefits the students as they can connect with the other students.
- The mess and the canteen provide us good and tasty food. The labs and classrooms are top-notch.
Dislikes
- The campus happens to be 25 kilometers from the Jodhpur city so the campus to city travel is that of 40 - 45 minutes.

A person studying in grade 12 can apply for NIFT bachelor's course upto the age of 21. The first step of the admission process is to fill the admission form that can be found on the official NIFT website and pay the admission fee. The NIFT Delhi will have a total of 266 seats for the BDes and BFTech and 110 seats for the masters course. There for the total seat intake for the NIFT New Delhi is 376 seats
As a purpose of UG programs, the institute offers 2 courses i.e. Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Fashion Technology. The total fee for the graduation at the NIFT is INR 13.43. Admission to all the courses will be based on marks obtained by the students in GAT followed by counseling sessions. The candidates must have qualified in 12th level examinations by any of recognized board i.e. Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board of Secondary Education New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Any equivalent to 10+2 level exam from any public school/board/university exam in India or foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. 3 or 4 years Diploma from any recognized board/university by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. The lower age limit is 23 years as per 31st October of the admission year.
