Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

As it is majorly a research institute the placement cell is not yet well developed.

IISER does not release offical placement data, but placements are low as most of the students go for higher education. Avg package for BS students being around 7lpa, and for BSMS students it is around 19lpa as per 2023

Review on IISER Bhopal for BS-Economics

For BS-Economics students,institute provides placement oppurtunities. Median package for BS-ECO students for UG-4 years if 17.5 lacs per annum. But only a handful of 10-15 students are able to grab campus-placement oppurtunites and rest all prepare for other competitive exams or go for off-campus placements. The highest package offered for this degree is 34 lacs per annum . companies like delloite, nomura, barclays etc. come to this institute for placements.

Knowing IISERB engineering sciences

Mostly from 8th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements and getting preplacement offers in their applied companies. Companies like nomura Bank ,Barclays and Dr Reddy's lab have visited the campus in the past. Mostly all the students get placed because less number of student sitting for the placements. According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.

Placements are not that great and only engineering and Economics department people get placed. Last year highest package was 31 lakhs per annum and the average package was 19 lakhs per annum . The statistics are quite good because of place students opting for placements and more students going abroad for research companies like Nomura Bank and Barclays recruit from the campus. From 8th semester onwards student can become eligible for the placements. Mostly students here opt for USD in foreign universities rather than sitting for placements and going to corporate sector. Hence placement scenario is not that great. Steel companies like Barclays numura Bank and Dr. Reddy's lab usually recruit students.
