Better than private colleges

The placement for my department is the first thing that attracted me .
Work load is minimum as compared to other departments.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is poor, college needs to work on classroom and laboratories
Fees taken from students who belong to outside of Kerala is very much big as compared to SC and ST keralaites.

Faculty:

There are total of 6 subjects in each semester and for each subject there is 1 faculty. Some faculties are very helpful and good in nature they teach their subjects sincerely and correct the students if they make mistakes. They check the exam papers strictly . Some faculties are there who just come to the class give lecture and then leave they don't care much about the students. But they give marks in exams. Very few faculties are there who are arrogant and they involve personal problem with students in their exams and studies. They fail the students on purpose. Not only in their subjects they give year back in the name of disciplinary action.

Teachers are very supportive and always ready to help.
College provides an incubator, called CITTIC if you want to built a startup.

Dislikes

So many strikes and political activities.

Faculty:

The scheme has changed a little recently for the new students. Since I am in third year, I will share my scheme. We have two internal exams in a semester and one external exam. Internal exams are generally of 50 marks each and each carry a weightage of 12.5 So overall the marking scheme is : Internals - 25 Assignment - 10 Attendance - 5 External Exam - 60 (question paper is of 72 marks but maximum marks is 60) CS faculties are all very nice and supportive.

Faculty:

Most of the faculty in the electronics and communication branch is biased and only provides help for a selected number of people.Students who gets less marks are just completely abandoned. Only who study well will get faculty recognition and help.

Faculty is very knowledgeable and very respectable in terms of teach
The campus is very large with culture exposure

Dislikes

The last number of cows roaming around the campus
The vastness of the campus is sometimes bad

Faculty:

The faculty of the college is very knowledgeable and as acquired etc in their respected domains and they are very cooperating and helpful ij academics. They are open to help you anytime with any subject from scholarships to extracurricular activities. Exams are of average difficulty. Cusat claims its syllabus to be at par with NITs. There are internal exams, semester exams, etc. Exams are held timely.

The Campus has provided a good atmosphere for students to study.
The faculty are very well versed in their respective areas of teaching.

Dislikes

We have to be in uniform during classes in college.
We have to maintain the attendance percentage to write University exams .

Faculty:

The faculty teaching here are very well versed in academics and research areas. Most of them have their PhD degrees and several research papers and publications. The exams are conducted by the university in appropriate manner during each semester.If you studying your day to day portions it is easy to clear your university exams.

sex ratio is good 3:1 is the overall ratio
campus is huge so you can hang out here....

Dislikes

lack of cultural events are there hope it will get fixed
lot to walk through campus,unavialabilty of university hostels

Faculty:

The faclty members are very eminent.Majority of them are PHD scolars so they are focused with their reaserch and that kind of stuffs.we can also assist them, in their work.exams here are little bit hard you need to prepare well to pass

There are many experienced and expertised teachers in each department. Many of them are supportive ones. The campus provides a good environment for studying and other extra curricular activities. Also the cusat certificate is more valuable than othe
The certificate have equalisation with the other univerdity certificates

Dislikes

Some of the teachers are very strict. They did not teach perfectly but they want perfect answers from students.
The fee structure is more expensive than other engineering govt colleges

Faculty:

There are many faculties who are very friendly nd supportive to students. But there are also some those who didnot teach well but they want perfect answers. Mr. Abdu rahiman in civil engineering is a good faculty. Exams are usually little hard. But we can pass if we studied. Fail percentage is less compared to pass mostly

We arw free to do whatever we want. No one is going to control us in any way

Dislikes

They increase the fee sem by sem without a prior notice and wont tell us for what they have increased the fee.
Poor infrasture facilities in the college. Inspite of huge amount of fee they dont provide us with any facilities.

Faculty:

Faculty number is very less. We hardly get faculty to teach us. They dont have much experience . Some of them teach us well but majority dont know what to teach. We can approach only one or two teachers others are not as expected.

It will be better to have a bike or scooter in the campus it is a vast area so you wont be loosing energy by walking
less greenery in SOE compared to other departments

Faculty:

Talking about the faculties in my department ,we have the student to faculty ratio to approx 1:30. every faculty atleast have MTech and most of them have PHD.Most of the faculty are passed out from renouned colleges like IIt, IISc etc.Their expertise contributes to quality education and guidance for students.Teachers are very approachable and supportive in my department.
