Goa Institute of Management Tips for PI
- Prepare Well: You should prepare yourself for the kinds of questions that the panellists. might ask you. Read newspapers, watch videos, give mock interviews, take notes from alumni and the most important thing is to practice daily.
- Know Yourself: During the whole interview, the panelists try to know but how are you going to communicate the same to him if you don’t know about yourself. Practice answering questions about your strengths, weaknesses, areas of interests, personal and professional experiences etc.
- Be Yourself: Don’t try to be someone else. Most people try to copy someone else’s belief that it’ll help them get through, which is not true. The interviewer can easily make out that you’re different from the way you’re showcasing yourself. So, it is extremely important to be honest.
- Analyse the common events: You’re supposed to be aware of whatever’s happening around you and be able to understand the positives and negatives of the same. You should be able to analyse common events as a manager. GIM professors look out for candidates who can stimulate discussions in the class by analysing what is happening around them.
- Be able to direct the interview: During the interview, the interviewer can ask you anything under the sun. But you can direct the interview in your favour if you’ve prepared your answers properly.
