I am a CA intermediate hence I wanted to go in Auditing so I choose this program. student-faculty ratio in GIM is 1:20 which is decent. Most teachers are researchers of their subject only and have a relevant work experience of 10-12 years. Two-way teaching is used and exams are quite difficult to pass for those students who have very less prior knowledge of finance.

I choose the BIFS course over CORE as I wanted to gain finance-specific knowledge and going into core would have been including the information of all other fields as well also after all in the end we have to choose a single field where we have to make our career hence I have already chosen my area of study so got into BIFS. The student-faculty ratio is good in our batch we are having almost 8 faculties for the batch of 60 students, and GIM does a fine job in maintaining the student ratio. Most of our faculty members have almost an industry experience of more than 12 years, Phd holders and have done significant work in their area of expertise in the form of research here in GIM also professors must have opted for a research project also, coming to teaching, is really great, all the faculty members strictly follow the two communication method and hence you can expect a lot of interaction with them. In GIM grades are given out of 8 points and there are 3 trisem /year + mid sem in between
There are around 60 students per faculty member. The faculty guides are effective in solving queries and clarifying concepts. The end-term exams are of moderate to a high level, and sometimes there can be technical glitches due to the online mode of examination.
The institute follows a 4 semester based curriculum structure. The curriculum is very comprehensive and practical based. All the faculties are from premier institutes like top IIMs and IITs. The overall learning experience is very practical and experience based.
The course curriculum is very exhaustive that is sufficient enough to get a fair idea about the core finance concepts. The prime focus is upon developing expertise in skills like financial modelling, R, Python, to name a few. Since, it is the first batch of BIFS course, the student: faculty ratio is very good. The faculty is well qualified and focus on effectively delivering the teaching. There is a regular assessment with more focus on practical application.
The course curriculum is tailored to provide industry-ready practical knowledge & Skills to the students. GIM has the best Faculty: Student ratio of 13, which makes it easy for every student to learn, excel and apply. The faculty is highly qualified and dedicated to sharpening the intellect of its students. If you seriously want to learn and enjoy the rigour of MBA life then this is the best choice.
Faculty is very understanding and helpful. Teachers are highly qualified and always up for guidance. The teaching methodology is also great.
The course curriculum is noteworthy and pushes students to bring out their best. Accordingly, faculty members are knowledgeable and friendly in their approach. The pedagogy is highly student-friendly and is updated as and when required. Exams or evaluation is carried out in every class/session for each subject. There are multiple other ways of evaluation other than plain exams which include quizzes, report writings, video makings, etc. All of this provides students with a higher learning curve and makes them competent to pass in the exams.
The course curriculum is designed keeping the industry requirements in mind. Faculty members are highly experienced and the best in their fields, they make learning enjoyable.
