Caution Deposit

  • First-year students are given rooms of double occupancy. From 2nd year, they are allotted single occupancy rooms.
  • There is provision of a certain Caution money amount of INR 25,000 , that needs to be deposited. The Caution Money is refundable and will be refunded to the student when he/she leaves the Institute and is verified total clearance of all payments and dues.
  • An amount of INR.5000/- will be taken from the refundable caution deposit following graduation. It would be credited as a membership fee to the GIM Alumni Association.
  • Once fees are paid, they are not refundable, in case of discontinuation of the programme by students.

Goa Institute of Management Hostel Fees

  • Goa Institute of Management houses nine hostels that are equipped with qualitative facilities. Out of these, two are co-ed, three are exclusively for girls, and four are exclusively for boys. The co-ed hostel is most popular and busy - anyone can visit each other's hostel anytime. Each hostel possesses a common room that is used for group gatherings for assignments, student meetings or enjoying sports matches together.
  • The mess food is known to be good, with options of Indian and continental. This is a good move by mess authorities to take care of students' taste as going out isn't majorly possible.
  • Only one hostel has the facility of AC and the most expensive, the rest are non-AC. First-year students are usually allotted rooms with double occupancy. Second-year students are allotted with single occupancy. AC hostel allotments are single and come with personal baths as well.
  • This arrangement aims to build social values and caters to teach priceless life lessons of adjustment to situations and communication on social levels. The schedule in GIM is very hectic, and students seldom get time to stay in the hostel, mostly just for sleeping or preparing for studies. GIM hostel premises are busy 24/7 with unending activities like assignment gatherings, Preservation preparations, normal conversations, game nights etc. The hostel life is very important as it nurtures bonds and also helps the students grow through various milestones and Challenges, creating friendships that last long.
