What is an honest review of SSEC Chennai?

Students and alumni claim that SSEC Chennai is decent, but the amount of exposure in terms of projects and collaboration is pretty less compared to other universities like SRM, VIT, SSN or Anna University (CEG Guindy). The placements are average here. Students would prefer to study at the above-mentioned universities, as compared to SSEC Chennai.

SSEC Chennai is very strict and the worst in education. One may not be able to learn anything apart from your engineering text books. They are very strict in dress code, discipline, education, and talking with girls. One cannot take leaves without permission of HOD, and you can't skip classes at all.

About Sairam Engineering College

Likes

Our college has one of the best campus in comparison to other colleges present in the Chennai region
The lab facility and the lab technician are very much well trained and useful one

Dislikes

Our college focus on sports but not to the max
The staffs over here have knowledge but are strict in terms of punishment given to the students

Placement Experience:

The Recruitment of fresh engineering graduates by all leading manufacturing sectors, and IT service sectors has drastically changed and started focusing on “Industry 4.0”. The campus hiring scenario and the process of selection have completely shifted towards industrial expectations in terms of skill sets. There is a big gap between the industrial expectations and the present syllabus of all engineering disciplines.

The infrastructure of the college is good
The placement are good and available for everyone

Dislikes

Hostel is very strict and they allow home once in a month
Boys and girls should not roam together .

* students are eligible for campus placement from 6th semester * companies likeTCS,Wipro,Zoho,mindtree,Infosys,hcl, tech Mahindra,etc. Are visited the college and approximately 600 to 700 offers are given per year * the highest package is 27LPA and the average package is 4LPA for freshers * more than 90 percentage of students are placed * working in a company for few year and start my own startup

Education is the main purpose of being there there
There is no chance to cut classes during lectures

Sai Ram is the best place for placements around 300 to 400 companies will visit every year people with high skill sets and knowledge will get placed in very good packages highest package is 28 lakh per year and a minimum of 4 lpa

Our batch 2023 placement season started from the 6th semester itself. Most of them got places at the starting of the final year but I got placed in September month of the final year. Placement is good but it depends on the company about onboarding.

Faculty , i like my faculties and they are so kind .
Campus , the campus is so nice and clean
Labs.the labs are so inbuilt .the system are user friendly.

Dislikes

Canteen, the amount of food , many shops can be improved
Class benches the benches are not nice .

Placement Experience:

The basic training will happen from 4 th semester and heavy training will happen from 5th semester. Some company offers the criteria for attending their recruitment. 150 companies visited as I know. The average package starts from 4 LPA and the highest package is 19 LPA All students got placed. My plan is to work in a job.

Everyone in the college gets placed but based on your skills the package differs and the placement starts from the 6th sem which is in your third year, many companies are visiting our college around 100 plus companies are coming about 95 to 100% of them get placed in a year and my plan after getting out of the college is to get a job and settle in my life.

Course Curriculum is decided by Anna University and they made the syllabus simple and they broke down the complex syllabus into more simple form. The staffs are good in teaching and they helped us more in learning.

"Nice environment, better placements and great campus life"

Placement Experience:

As for the BE course, you should not keep your expectations much higher. Internship offers are provided, but you have to actively participate in them. Of course, your skills will also be judged. So, you have to prepare for the placements on a personal level.
