St.Joseph’s College of Engineering admission process is based on the TNEA counseling for the UG course and TANCET entrance exam for PG courses. The admission begins with the registration of TNEA counseling if the candidate has a valid JEE- MAIN score.
How to Apply?
TNEA 2023:
- Go to the official website of Anna University and Click on New registration for TNEA 2023.
- Online registration: Fill all the details and click submit.
- Payment: Login to the official website using user ID and password and enter verification code. After logging in the process the payment through payment option and fill payment details.
- The application fee will be INR 500 for general and INR 250 for SC, ST & SCA candidates. Candidates will pay the application fee through credit card, ATM-cum-debit card, and internet banking.
- Personal Detail: After payment of application fees fill out the personal details which include name, father’s name, gender. After filling personal details, submit the application form.
- Now the filled-in TNEA-2023 application form is to be attached with the required documents.
- Now the application form attached with the above documents is to be submitted to the following address either in-person or by post.

- Click on New Registration and register by entering required details (Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Password).

- St. Joseph’s College of Engineering has observed a rise of 50% in the average placement package from 2016 to 2020.
- Total 1703 students were offered placement in St. Joseph’s Group of Institute out of which a total of 1240 students were offered placements from the St. Joseph’s College of Engineering.

- Audio Visual Hall: The colleges have 12 AV halls for conducting seminars and other co-curricular activities and extracurricular activities with a seating capacity of 319 with 4000 Watt Surround Sound System.

- Our curriculum was structured in a way that exposed us more to theoretical classes rather than industrial exposure.
- The college will surely insist that students opt for an internship every semester based on their own interest.

- The industrial exposure is very bad. They will bring us to some project centers and tell us, This is your industrial visit. This happens due to some faculty thinking that their decision is final and no one can question them.
- A very small number of sports are available for the entire student body, apart from the college sports players, and the college is generally strict.

For those who applying for a UG B.E degree in St.JOSEPH'S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING CHENNAI, The marks they obtain in their 12th Standard should be as required by the college. For the Management quota, 55% of the 12th mark is enough to get into the college. The application will be issued by the college management it will not be seen online, Once you choose the college and pay the application fee then they will give you the application form. I took 151.5 cutoffs and joined through TNEA. It was quite easier for me to join the college because I got a seat in round 2 of counselling without any problem. Their admission to the college process is also quite easier. They will ask to submit all the certificates to the admission centre and they will ask to pay the first year fees to avail Roll number, ID card, books and other facilities. Once the admission process is over they will start the class for the semester.

The teaching, infrastructure and facilities are of great standard. The faculty are updating themselves with new technologies and skills. The exams conducted are mostly to check your knowledge and apply what you learnt in real life.
