Some of the most important factors include location, placement, campus, fee structure, and branch. Based on these factors, one can make an informed decision about which college to choose.

In terms of the specific colleges mentioned, IIIT Jabalpur, NIT Patna, and NIT Silchar are all well-known institutes for CSE/IT courses. Here are some details about IIIT Jabalpur and why it could be a good option for you:

Location:

• With the increasing opportunities in the city, the placement opportunities for students are expected to increase in the coming years.

Campus:

• IIIT Jabalpur has a well-designed and modern campus with all the necessary facilities for students.
• The campus has a vibrant atmosphere and offers a great learning environment for students.

Fee Structure:

• The fee structure for IIIT Jabalpur is competitive and affordable when compared to other top institutes for CSE/IT courses.

Course Structure:

• IIIT Jabalpur has a well-designed course structure for CSE/IT courses, which is constantly reviewed and updated to keep up with the latest industry trends.
• The faculty at IIIT Jabalpur is highly qualified and experienced, providing students with the best possible education.

If you are looking for a college for your CSE/IT degree, IIIT Jabalpur could be a good option to consider. With its location, placement opportunities, campus facilities, competitive fee structure, and well-designed course structure, IIIT Jabalpur is a great choice for students who want to excel in the field of computer science and engineering.

According to me, IIIT Jabalpur is way ahead of the other two colleges. It is followed by NIT Patna. Here are some advantages of IIIT Jabalpur-

• Infrastructure- The campus is spread across 300 acres and has a well-furnished library. 
• Placements - The placements are good and improving with each year. Here is the year-wise highest salary trend for the college-

The placements for Mechanical, CSE and ECE are quite impressive. Other students opt for CAT/GMAT/higher studies abroad. The college is just 4 km away from the Jabalpur airport which facilitates more companies to visit the campus for placements. Because of good connectivity to major metropolitan cities of India, the placements are expected to increase exponentially in the coming years.

• Hostels and Campus Life- As a fresher, you’ll be allotted a three-seater hostel room. From the second year onwards, you’ll get a separate room. Each hostel has two messes and a canteen, the mess food is good. The hostel canteens are open till 2 (at night).

Campus life is great. You can play Volleyball, Cricket, and Football with your friends till late evening. The college fests- Gusto and Abhikalpan are much awaited.

• Sports, Clubs and Gym- The college offers good sports facilities. There are football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton & tennis grounds. Hostels have TT tables. Various clubs like dance club, drama club, etc. are also present. There is a gym facility on campus, provided free of cost to the students.

• Faculty - The faculty is excellent. It includes IIT alumni and former students of prestigious US universities. You’ll get to learn from the best. 

• Other - The CSE department has good placements and curriculum. The college has collaborations with 6 Japanese Companies and 6 Japanese institutions. 

Therefore, out of NIT Silchar, NIT Patna and IIIT Jabalpur, I would suggest you go for the third one.

IIITDM Jabalpur is better than Kancheepuram. It is an older institute and has a beautiful campus. The facilities offered are state-of-the-art. The professors are well-experienced and cooperative. IIITDM Jabalpur placement 2022 had the highest CTC of INR 44 LPA. Linkedin, BrowserStack, and Oracle, were some of the major recruiters to take part in the placement drive.  

There are two options available to you. Choose between IIIT Jabalpur and NIT Raipur for CSE.

Why choose NIT Raipur?

• As of now, the placement scenario is favorable.
• Seniors would provide you with sound advice.
• There is a greater emphasis on practical hands-on experience among peers.
• The highest salary package offered to three students was 32.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA.
• You'd almost certainly get a job.

NIT Raipur, why not?

• If you want to pursue higher education, NIT Raipur is a no-go.
• There are few opportunities for research.
• The brand name NIT does not help with the GRE.
• Higher education is entirely theoretical. Peers get together and must put in extra effort to gain hands-on experience.
• The syllabus is not focused on the current business world.

Why choose IIIT Jabalpur?

• It would teach you CSE from the first year, unlike other NITs, which require you to study common subjects like chemical, civil, and mechanical engineering.
• The placement scenario is nearly identical to that of NIT Raipur. However, it will improve as IIIT Jabalpur improves.
• There will be far more research opportunities than at NIT Raipur.
• The brand name may be beneficial for the GRE.
• The IIIT experience is more enriching than the NIT experience.
• IIIT Jabalpur has a competitive coding culture.

Why not IIIT Jamshedpur?

• The students have stern words for IIIT Jabalpur.
• The situation is similar at NIT Raipur but much more serious.
• Jabalpur is not a pleasant city to visit.
• It is in the lower echelons of IIITs that Extra-curricular activities are not spectacular.

The choice of the branch is more important than choosing the institute because it determines and shapes your career. If you are interested in working in a PSU or have an interest in Electronics, choose ECE but if you have no such inclinations choose CS, the most diverse field. There are two main differences between IIITs and NITs

• IIITs are relatively new and may not have a very extensive alumni network while NITs are aged old and have an elaborate network.
• NITs provide diverse specialization in various fields while IIITs only focus on Computer Science education. 

Based on the placement scenario and the academics, here is the preference order I would suggest you follow while making your choice

NIT Jalandhar CSE>IIIT Jabalpur CSE>NIT Raipur CSE>NIT Kurukshetra ECE>NIT Hamirpur ECE> NIT Jamshedpur ECE

It's important to note that this preference order is not based on any official data and is based on my own opinion only.

Keeping in mind the academic environment and placement statistics, the following should be the preferences:

CSE at NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Jabalpur, NIT Jalandhar, and IIIT Kancheepuram.

ECE at NIT Hamirpur, ECE at NIT Jalandhar, IIIT Kancheepuram, and then IIIT Jabalpur.

Choose a college with a broadband internet connection in the hostels for CSE. In general, the faculty at all of these colleges will be mediocre, and you will be forced to rely on the internet for your education. Once the CSE and hostel broadband requirements have been met, consider which college is closer to home, near a city, and not in a country where you do not speak the native language.
