IIIT Kottayam is a public autonomous engineering institute established in 2015 by the Government of India under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. This college is of national importance and therefore not easy to get into. One has to score a good score on the joint entrance exam(JEE). That is the only exam accepted for the admission process. The admission process is nice.

The admission process was smooth. One has to qualify JEE main to be eligible for the college. I got 96 percentile. For the preparation i took coaching from FIITJEE. Most of the admission process is completed online including fee payment for the first semester.

- The campus is situated at a scenic location near Valavoor village in Kottayam, Kerala. The view is quite breathtaking, especially during the rainy season.The Summers,on the other hand,can be really harsh. Campus is clean and well maintained.
- Most of the professors are really helpful. Also seniors take lots of initiatives through various clubs(technical as well as cultural).The curriculum ensures that students are taught and prepared according to the current industrial requirements.
Dislikes
- The worst thing about the college is definitely the mess food. I have experienced hostel Life since 5th grade. But never ever I have seen such poor quality food. Vegetarians like me will surely suffer the most. Atleast some fruits should be given...
- The sports facilities are in absolute shambles. Most of the schools have better facilities than the college. Football and cricket share the same ground(rather just a open,plain and dusty area). Volleyball has a seperate court that gets flooded

Last year's cutoff marks are available on the josaa website. Candidates must register on the JOSAA official website using their JEE Main or JEE Advanced roll number and password. During registration, candidates need to provide personal, academic, and contact details. JOSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allocation. Seat allocation is based on the candidate’s rank, category, and choices filled. After each round, the results are published on the JOSAA website. The cutoff for joining Indian Institute of Information technology was 97 percentile in jee mains or around 34000 rank, the admission process was really smooth and they proveded eith hostel room on the first day.

The admission is based on the ranks of jee exam 2023 eventhough there are reservations in admission procedure there is no such reservations in case of tution fee.The admission procedure was cool.many of us are not even aware of where these process are going on and all.so some senior students and other staffs were there and they guide us to reach there.

Admission process was fairly simply. I have taken JEE exam but i have applied through DASA and the process was fairly simple. The cutoff i think for CSE was about 38000 but in DASA was around 5 lakh range. Reservations are there for students. The exams are JEE for admissions and depends on your study. Admissions could be improved if it was all online.
