IIIT Imphal Courses Admissions 2024: Dates, Fees, Cutoff, Selection, Eligibility
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Imphal, Manipur is one of the preferred educational institutions in the north-eastern region of India in terms of engineering. The B.Tech degree offered by IIIT Imphal, Manipur is of a duration of 4 years divided into 8 semesters. The scores obtained in JEE Advanced are taken into consideration for admissions into IIIT Imphal, Manipur. Eligibility Criteria
- Scores obtained in GATE/NET would be taken into consideration, in addition to entrance test and interview.
- The candidates should have obtained a Master’s in Engineering/Technology degree with CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) of 6.5 or 60% in both Bachelor’s and Master’s, with regard to CSE and ECE specializations
- If the candidate does not hold a Master's degree, at least CPI of 7.5 or 70% in Bachelor’s should be obtained, with regard to CSE and ECE specializations
- For Mathematics specialization, the candidate should have obtained a Master's in Mathematics/Statistics with CPI of 6.5 or 60% in both Bachelor’s and Master’s
- For Linguistics specialization, the candidate should have obtained a Master's in Linguistics/English with CPI of 6.5 or 60% in both Bachelor’s and Master’s
- The categories of candidates would be Project Staff or Self Finance.
- Project Staff category students would be eligible for assistantships/fellowships subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as far as the norms of the respective agency designated for funding are concerned.
Selection Criteria
- Based on scores obtained in GATE/NET, in addition to the entrance test and interview, admission would be granted on the basis of Project Staff or Self Finance category.
- The marks obtained in the relevant Bachelor’s and Master’s degree should be as per the eligibility criteria.
- The reservations would be as per the rules and regulations formulated at the institutional level.
- The final merit list for admission would be prepared based on the category of students as mentioned in the eligibility criteria along with the scores obtained in GATE/NET, taking account of the specializations along with the aspect pertaining to reservations.

- Academic Curriculum of IIIT Manipur is very strong and well structured. Also, It is designed to make a perfect balance between the theoritical and the practical approaches in the students.
- Placement Opportunities are great as the highest package of the institute for the past batch was 40 LPA and with a average of 9 LPA. The placement opportunities are totally same for both ECE and CSE students.
Dislikes
- Campus is small but after completion of permanent campus is will get resolved.
Admission:
According to my jee mains rank, it was the best college i was getting. Also i am a computer science student and the institute has a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data science, which are currently in high demand. As this is one of a Institute of national importance and being a IIIT, the institute is having a good reputation also the batch size is smaller relatively which is also a plus point.

- Teacher's are supportive , they clear your doubts even you ask them 2-3 times and many of them are friendly in nature
- It's current location is in Imphal West , so there is no problem for buying anything
Dislikes
- Sports facilities are not so good , you have to bring your own racquet as there is a policy that students can issue college sports material for 1 month , so many students issue them and keps the materials with them for a month
- The 2nd boys hostel for 1st year is around 3.3 km away , so the college provides bus survice only during morning and evening on class days , if you want to come here on holiday or you want to go to hostel early you have to go on your own .
Admission:
As , I told before I get this college through CSAB counciling and I also applied for REAP Rajasthan counciling but this college looked better then them , so I preferred to choose it. For getting admission in it , you simply have to register after getting allocation of this college in JOSSA or csab

As I appeared in JEE main examination so according to my performance and rank i got this one in in the JOSAA counciling. Eligibility is PCM with 75% above and to qualify the jee main examination. The only con I feel is doing my graduation a temporary campus which is a bit small.

- There are adequate facilities for each student including library and other things which are needed by most students.

The documents required for the PhD course are certificates and mark sheets of 10, 12 class, bachelor's and master's degree, provisional or other certificates, GATE or NET score card, transaction reference, caste certificate if any, and no objection certificate by the employer if you’re working.
