- Academic Curriculum of IIIT Manipur is very strong and well structured. Also, It is designed to make a perfect balance between the theoritical and the practical approaches in the students.
- Placement Opportunities are great as the highest package of the institute for the past batch was 40 LPA and with a average of 9 LPA. The placement opportunities are totally same for both ECE and CSE students.
Dislikes
- Campus is small but after completion of permanent campus is will get resolved.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it is well aligned with the current industry trends majorly focusing on the computer fundamentals and for Electronics students the major focus is on there practical labs. Also the institue provides students elective courses.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are available at college generally it is shared via students of 4th year also it is Opperated by the Training and placement cell of the institute.The stipend might vary from 8000 to 75000.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportuninites at IIIT Manipur is Increasing from past few years as the batch size is also increased so, there will be more company visits in the upcoming future time.Last year the highest placement was for 40 LPA along with the average of 9 LPA. Companies like TCS,Wipro and Infosis visit the campus every year.
Fees and Financial Aid :
IIIT Manipur fees structure is divided into semester wise as for each semester we have to pay around 1.6 Lakh as Tuition plus the Hostel and Mess Fess. For 4 years the total expense will be around 12-13 lakhs. However the Mess fees might Increase in semester wise by 500 as the Expenses are on higher side in manipur due to its off location. There are so many government scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students that is almost there whole College fees is geeting reimbursed at the end of academic year.
Campus Life :
The campus life is good despite of North East, the College campus is in very center of the imphal valley surrounded with mountains and greenary also there are several markets nearby such as Mantripukhri, Thangal and Ema Market etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The Hostel Facilites are great, It might be the best hostel from all the reputed colleges through out the nation as these hostels are newly constructed and all basic facilities are present like Water and Electricity for 24/7 etc. The hostel is around 200 meters from the academic block.
Admission :
According to my jee mains rank, it was the best college i was getting. Also i am a computer science student and the institute has a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data science, which are currently in high demand. As this is one of a Institute of national importance and being a IIIT, the institute is having a good reputation also the batch size is smaller relatively which is also a plus point.
Faculty :
Faculty at IIIT Manipur are mostly experienced professors, most of them have PhDs from reputed Institutes like IIT etc. All of them are specialised in a particular field and often engage in the research work. They are very approachable and there is teaching style is very good as they keeps interacting with students on a regular basis.
