My college experience

The curriculum is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of law. The examination duration is 3hours and the exams are not that difficult for students to attend.

College provides placement for students from the 9th sem. The eligibility criteria for placement varies from company to company. The general rule is that the students must not have any standing arrears. Various law based companies have been involved in this placement process. The highest package as of now is 4.5lpa

The fees structure is The Tuition fees is rs 70000 per sem and the Sports and unit test fees will be rs1000 per annum and the Development fees should be paid as a one time payment which is nearly rs 10000.

The anual cultural event in sastra is kuruksastra and is a student led event which showcases various talents and performances. Daksh is sastra's annual technical even and colosseum is the annual sports extravaganza . There are various clubs such as music club, dance club, blood donation club, drama club etc

I applied for various law schools such as vit, soel etc. I also got offer letter from these colleges. But I felt sastra to be much more better than the other colleges and hence joined here. Usually the admissions process is very transparent. The students are selected based on merit. Usually the merit list prepared by calculating the score that is broad marks and clat marks. 75% of board marks and 25% of clat marks is the basis of preparation of the merit list

The faculty members are very friendly and approachable and they are very helpful. You can ask them doubts and any time and they'll be ready to help you out. Some of the best facilities are Nandhakumar sir, Madhavan sir, Sanjith sir etc. There will be 2 semester per year and the difficulty level varies from one year to another. Most of the students will clear the exams

The hostel life in sastra is quiet boring. Girls who are staying in hostel aren't allowed to leave the campus. They must be in the hostel by 6:30pm in the evening. Also the students have only 2 permission to leave the hostel. There is any such restriction for the boys. Boys can roam anywhere. There are many canteens inside the college which serves the students a variety of food. The food inside the hostel is pretty decent. There is also a gym inside the campus which has a decent amount of equipments. There is no fun places nearby college. You have to come to thanjavur.
