The fast development in electriv vehicles drove me to take up my course (EEE).But the curriculam is not up to the mark ...there are subjects in which the methods and procedures have improved but we are still taught the old methods...relavant electives are not provided. Changes are being made for the up coming batches. The exmas are conducted in 4 parts ...3 internal exams and 1 semester exam. the internal exms are approximately 1 and a half month apart and the semester exam is always 10 days after the third internal exam. The 1st internal eam has 1 or 1 and a half unit as portions and similarly the second internal exam is for the next 1 and a half portions and in the third internal exam its full portions. The exam papers are not direct they test the ynderstanding ans applicatio skills of the students.

As everyone knows that B.Tech degree has a high scope in IT and the core field so I selected this course. some of the faculties are good and some are rude based on our behaviour. Every month term exam will be conducted. There are 3 term exams for a sem.

I like electricals so I choose this course, there is enough faculty all over the college. all the faculty are well educated. the exam is too tough is helps us to become competitive, they all are well experienced and very strong in their fields and also a little strict.
In ECE we have a syllabus from basic level to advanced date to date technology. One thing in sastra is, that all the faculty are well experienced and student-friendly. They always guide us. In sastra, there are a lot of opportunities for research purposes. If you have interest from the first sem onwards we can start research.
I was intrested in Electrical Engineering course and this course was too good in Sastra University. Faculty here are PHD holders or PHD graduating ones and they are quite experienced. There were almost 300 students per year in our course. We will be having 3 midterm exams and each in month gap. They will be a bit easy but the semester exams were difficult. The pass percentage was 50%.
I have chosen the electrical department because of my interest in that field and future scope. Most of the faculties are well experienced and Ph.D. holders. They are easily approachable and they give importance to students' welfare. A mentor will be assigned to every student. During the first year, we study the basics of all the departments of engineering. From the 2nd year, core subjects are taught. Faculties teaching methods are effective. Doubt clearing sessions are often conducted. Internal exams are conducted frequently. We have 3 internal assessments for each semester. The final semester exams are slightly tough. However, if you follow the classes regularly and put in some hard work, getting a good grade is possible.
The course which I choosen is electrical and electronics engineering. This is 4 years (8 semester) course. This course is consist of both theory as well as practical classes with industrial exposure. The faculties of college is well educated all professors completed their research degrees from top class indian and foreign universities. Overall it's good college for academics.
The courses are upto date. We aren't getting enough industrial exposure but do have good labs. The facilities were really good, they are engaged in many project works and do have patent.John Bosco Balaguru is a faculty who I think is good.
