First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Very good infrastructure and facilities for students
Atmosphere is really up skilling like the students are here all achievers in their respective fields
Faculty also is quite supportive in respect to other ones

Dislikes

Very poor boys to girls ratio that is 1:5
Curriculum should be updated we are still thought 30 years old syllabus
More practical knowledge should be provided than theoretical

Good placements in comparison to other private college where there is almost zero placements but here still if student is doing good in his academics he can grab a handsome paying job and can brag about it in front of others

Laboratories are maintained very good and have all the necessary equipments

I want to join many of activity club like sports and technology or etc. but due to lake of confidence I am don't apply for anything because of my communication skills is very poor
The campus size is not much more big but is not bad and multiple facilities is available the development of college is in progress. and senior help us and encourage to consume the available facilities
The faculty of college is very expert in there fields and they most of complete there Dr. Degree from a very good universities

I don't like thing is the college is outside of the city is not good for the resources we need to go city and the auto rickshaw pay extra charge because of there is not people for rikshaw at the time of returning
The course curriculum is full of study it need to some enjoyment things were added in curriculum.accept this curriculum is good
As we study upto 12th we study a period of only 40 minutes but now the periode isof 1 hour as the scientific study last 20 minutes is full boring and the lab is of two hours I don't like this thing also

After the 7th semester the students was eligible for campus interview.and nit Jalandhar campus placement percentage is upto 83.the criteria for campus interview is according to companies .and in nit Jalandhar there are 150 companies are coming for interview like Microsoft, Google, Zscaler, BPCL, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro and etc.the highest package of 2024 is 62 lac in previous year,and the average package of electrical is upto 13 lac. I am also want to seated in campus interview .

What should I expect from my college life?

Likes

The placements are decent. Avg. placement is around 16-17 LPA and The placement percentage is also above 90.
The mess food is also good. The hostels are good and worth living.
The coding culture of the college is pretty decent.

Dislikes

Curriculum is little too strict. Academics require consistency.
Campus is far away from city. Hence you need to grab an extra whole day yo visit outside campus.

Placement Experience:

Students from fourth year are eligible for campus placements considering various CGPA criteria. Students can also opt for off campus placements if not satisfied with the college placement. Or you can go for higher studies like MTech etc.

There are many restrictions for first year students
From second year there will be no restrictions in timings

NIT JALANDHAR: A WORTH IT COLLEGE

Likes

First thing is that connectivity of college is good . Train station, market, malls etc are near for students to easily visit. Besides campus is quite good . Minor restriction are there for first year students in terms of hostel timing.
Other factor is that campus is ragging free. There are zero cases of ragging in this college. Anti ragging commission is highly active so there will be no such problem. Besides it , mentorship program are there for you to deal with any kind of prblm.
Placement are quite good with good percentage placement. My branch (ICE) has average package of 9.6L . Top branches even have higher. Most of the faculties are engaging which help in internships .

Dislikes

The things I hate is that liquor store are 10 min distant from college , student easily gets drunk frequently. Besides drug culture is seen a little as Punjab has highest drug consumption rate , it is not seen too much , but it exists.
Some faculties are very rude. Almost half of the batch gets BACK in the examination in the subject of those teachers yet they don't care. They just read ppt In class , they don't care for studies , they just want course completed.
The wifi facilities are extremely poor . Each student gets 15 gb data quota per day but with a crawling speed of 1.5 MBPS , you cannot even use YouTube properly. Besides a hostel in college has private wifi whose charges are taken from students.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college are quite good. My branch has average package of 9.6 lakhs and the highest package of 22 lakhs per annum while in higher branches highest package was 1.5 crore per annum and average was about 15 lakhs. Placement percentage is quite good. alumni network is large as well as helpful for securing placements.in CSE BRANCH approx 96 percent students who are eligible for placement process are placed. Besides in my branch 88% Students are placed successfully. Companies like reliance, Flipkart, Amazon, Google , Microsoft, cisco, samsung, etc visit every years for placements. And my plan after completing the degree is to secure a placement. I will aslo try GATE EXAM. I don't have plan for higher studies.

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
