For people with income lower than tL per anum the tution fees is waivered by fifty percent so total fees reaches to around 6 lakhs For people of lower categories have almost around 50 percent waiver in the whole fees and their fees reaches to 4 lakhs for whole 8 semesters

As a general student the fees structure at nit jalandgar is around 92000 for first semester and 88000 for second semester with 25500 each semester for hostel and mess and 10000 is submitted as security at time pf admission. This will cost me arount 10 lacks for four years. But for ews or sc/st students it will cost around 4-5 lacks and there are sone scholorships but as a male general student chances are like 0 not able to apply and other categories are also getting benefits of this

The tution fee for the course is not much per semester but if you are reserved category it is comparitively lesser. There are no other charges or fee that you need to pay. For SC/ST/PH or General/OBC category with income less than 1 lakh, the tution fee is NIL. Fr GEN/OBC with income less than 5 lakhs it is 20840/- and for GEN/OBC and income greater than 5 lakhs it is 62500/-. Along with that there are other changes depending upon reservation ranging between 22000/- to 30500/-. All these for one semester. There are various scholarships which are rendered to variou categories and incomes and also cgp applied sometimes

I dislike the examination system , grading system and courses structure to be taught here. So much of theoretical studies and less practical studies are here.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Complete fee structure of NIT Jalandhar is around 8-10 lacs which includes mess, hostel, and tuition fee.

Tuition fee of NIT Jalandhar is 62,500 per semester. For SC, ST candidates there is 0 tuition fee. Also, if family income is less than 1 lac, tuition fee is 0. If family income is between 1 to 5 lacs, 1/3rd of the tuition fee is applicable.
Mess and hostel fee is 25,500 per semester. Development fee is 25,000 per semester. Tuition fee is the same in all NITs across India. It is lesser than IITs, which have a 1 lac tuition fee per semester.

There are two main differences between IIITs and NITs

IIITs are relatively new and may not have a very extensive alumni network while NITs are aged old and have an elaborate network.
NITs provide diverse specialization in various fields while IIITs only focus on Computer Science education.

Based on the placement scenario and the academics, here is the preference order I would suggest you follow while making your choice

NIT Jalandhar is a reputable university. Not particularly extraordinary or so. It's just a quiet campus with standard instruction where CSE graduates have a good placement rate. It gradually lost its allure. It used to be one of the best NITs, but lately, it has declined.

However, it is still a very good college, with CSE, in particular, being a particularly lovely and developed branch.

You should prefer IT at IIIT Allahabad. It has a better placement record, coding culture, and peer group. IIIT Allahabad also has a better industry reach compared to NIT Jalandhar. Industry giants such as Facebook, Google, etc. take part in the placement drive. During IIIT Allahabad placements in 2022, 100% of students got placed. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 1.4 CPA.

Definitely, you should go for NIT Jalandhar. There are various reasons and differences due to which NIT Jalandhar is the better option for CSE.

The first and foremost reason is the establishment. NIT Jalandhar is a well-established institute whereas NITD is still juggling to fit in the stream.
With the better ranking and almost all the courses available NIT Jalandhar has a huge campus which will give you a better campus life. Whereas, NITD is a small campus with a few numbers of available courses.
When it comes to CSE, there has been a decent placement from the past few years. Few top companies that one could count on recruitment are Amazon, Sapient, IBM, Infosys, etc.
Although NITD, being in the central position gives you good internship choices to CSE students in the Delhi NCR region. So, if you want to opt for a particular CSE branch then you can take a chance but for any other stream, NITD is a big no.
NITJ has a good CSE alumni base who are working in top companies. Therefore, placement is never a big problem here.

As one of my friends studied at NIT Jalandhar, I can tell you his experiences with the college. According to him, NIT Jalandhar is far better than NIT Goa or UPTU College, especially the CSE branch.

The college is well established and has been earning a name for many years when compared to NIT Goa or UPTU College.
There is proper equipment available for the students of the CSE branch along with the other facilities.
Also, NIT Jalandhar has created a proper environment for all the students that can lead to their constant growth.
NIT Jalandhar offers decent placement offers to students in various prestigious companies.
