- You get to learn from a faculty that is very experienced and well versed in the course.
- A very excellent stipend is given to students who secure the best position among Punjab or India students. Opportunities for scholarships are also provided to these students. This college grants a stipend ranging from Rs 5000 to 10000 to every student who achieves the first position.
Dislikes
- Until I was there in the 2012 internship was not an option, but I am not sure about the current offerings.
- The placement for the MBA department is very poor, as people usually prefer to directly approach companies for job opportunities. However, the situation is better for the Engineering department.

Admission is based on the 12th result and the student who appeared in exams like JEE mains or advanced they got extra benefits. If you go for counseling there is a very nominal fee of 2000 approx. And admission fee 6500 including the counseling fee. The admission process is very easy and simple, there are teachers who help you there for admission.

- The fee system is very good .Unlike the other engineering institutions where the fee is very high .Fee system allows less burden on the middle class families .My fees here as a cse student is around 95k for a year .For 4 years it is around 4 lakhs

- The biggest issue in this college is the Attendance issue that really affects the acedmics of student .You will get 0 marks out of 6 even after having 75% of attendance.It increases by 1 mark on every 5% attendancefor example1 mark for 80% 6 for 100%
- The teachers here are just there for attendance they don't teach well just theory theory here .They can't make you industry ready . They just go behind marks and appreciate people who are cramming only.
Admission:
You can have admission to the college by Management quota also .For entering in CSE branch you should have 12th passed percentage of 75% +. Non JEE aspirants don't have difficulty to grab a seat here .if you have JEE exam then you are easily eligible for the college

- Faculty, teachers are very nice in IT field but in civil or electronics the teachers and faculty are very bad specially in Civil engineering branch so I recommend go for Information and technology or computer science branch.
- Campus are not too big it is good enough but the staff there started whispering too early and don't want us to sit comfortably

- As discussed earlier campus is not big enough in dav institute of engineering and technology in Jalandhar Punjab
- I don't like the practical file system because it is waste of time for the students as it doesn't contribute towards learning, just waste of money in printing

Eligibility for B.Tech is 12th in non-medical or diploma in any engineering field. Application form can be found on the PTU site as this college comes under PUNJAB TECHICAL UN?VERSITY. Exams are taken semester wise . And ther are also mid semester exams that occurs twice in ever semester .

The admissions to B. Tech courses are conducted through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Students should apply for the JEE Main examination if they are interested in taking admission into DAVIET. Candidates for admission to M. Tech are selected through GATE and an interview conducted by PTU (Punjab Technical University) and the college. The admission date has not been released yet.
Unfortunately, DAVIET Jalandhar offers only full-time on-campus mode classes to the students.However, for any of the exception, you can contact the college at: 0181 234 3400.
