Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Pass in Plus Two (10+2) examination of the State of Kerala or the examination of any other University/ Board accepted by the University as equivalent thereto in First Class (60% marks) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects of study and with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics as well as for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
Candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible for applying, if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.
SEBC candidates of Kerala State who are certified as belonging to non-creamy layer are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for qualifying examination.

Campus area is very good. Sufficient places to explore within the campus.
Extra curriculum activities have special grace marks and a department to improve our these skills

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are bit low compare to their other facilities.
Sports needs and arena should be developed more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a mixture of skill development, lab activities, workshops, internships and theory oriented. A perfect balance is already keeping. Every 45 days we have internal exams and the difficulty level is moderate. The curriculum is the best one for the real world. The curriculum is more easy compare to other engineering course.

The library facilities and tech fests happening also contribute to our learning there

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not that easily available to all students.
More career exposure can be given to students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took this course because this is a rare course and this is one of the best institutions in India to study this course. Most of the faculty members are bound to research. So we have the latest updates. In my class faculty to student ratio is 3:1. Because an only a limited number of seats are available even for a bachelors degree.

University of first student aid fund for economically weaker and meritorious students. there is central and state scholarship schemes include the complete reimbursement of fees. students can also do part time jobs such as food delivery, tuitions, etc

Is polymer science and engineering good in CUSAT?

The program of Polymer Science and Engineering offered by CUSAT is one of the best in the country. The department of Polymer Science and Engineering is very old and well established. For my cousin, joining the course has been one of the best decisions that she ever made for her career.

The alumni of this department of CUSAT are working in many major polymer-based companies.
Only a few institutions in India offer this course to students who wish to pursue Polymer Science and Engineering.
The course is more concerned about the fields of sciences rather than engineering.
The faculty members of the institution are very well qualified and experienced in their respective fields.
The majority of the students who get enrolled in this program get recruited by companies in the Tyre industry.
Since the intake of students is limited, which is around 20 students each year for bachelor's, the relationship which develops between the different batches and the faculty members is very strong.
The placement cell of the University is extremely active and provides full support to the students during recruitment drives.
Some major recruiters include Reliance Industries Limited, SRF Limited, Apollo Tyres Limited, and CEAT Ltd.
