Campus is very green and beautiful. The heritage building being the center of attraction.
The central library is very big and has all the facilities.

Dislikes

Infratstructure if not so great, need improments in facilities.
The academic workload is very high, and administration is very strict.

Sports facilities, Clubs, Library, Hostel.

Campus area (about 220 acres, which is very low as compared to other IITs). Food is average.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. Many big companies come to our college both in core and non-core. The average package is around 18 lacs. CSE has 27-28 lacs, MnC (Integrated MTech) has 30 lacs, ECE 24-25 place, and EE 21-22 lacs. However, placements in petroleum, mining, and other branches are great (18-20 lacs average). The placements for core branches like Mechanical, and Chemical are average. We have decent internship opportunities. There's a lot of potential for placements and internships but the only drawback is the location of Dhanbad which makes it difficult for more big recruiters to visit the college.

Campus beauty is really mesmerising with a full natural experience.
The seniors are supportive and help a lot in the beginning.

Dislikes

Classrooms are not air conditioned it is something we expect.
The location of iit dhanbad is in dhanbad which is not so good.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester onwards, students become eligible for on campus internships. A no of companies visit the campus including Google, Microsoft, Walmart, Amazon, Coal India, Flipkart, PhonePe pe, etc. The highest package is 56 lakh and average package is 17.3 lakhs. The profiles offered include analyst, software development engineer, consultant roles, Product manager roles etc. Almost 90% are placed in on campus placements. Getting an on campus good placement.

Campus life is really good here in IIT ISM Dhanbad.
Tech clubs and the Cultural club for overall growth of student.

Dislikes

Quality of food given in the hostel is not upto mark.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum in IIT is not that much hectic, but yes the competition is so much to survive in any IIT that it feels sometimes really hard to cover everything. Now talking about the faculty, they are highly qualified and one of the best in the country. The faculty-to-student ratio is somewhat around 1:60, but it varies for different IITs.Professors try their best to make us understand each topic, but yes there are exceptions everywhere. One can't expect that you will not need the help of other resources after listening to the lectures of Prof. Now coming to the term exams, in my college two quizzes are conducted and one mid-term and one end-term examination in one semester, which is not that hectic.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good. almost everyone gets placed. I would say that branch matters. it just makes the process easier. There are companies covering a variety of profiles. just get to know what interests you and go for it.

I like the green campus here and the friendly environment and the junior senior relationship seniors always been ready to help the juniors also the guards and security available at the campus is safe and secure for each and every child be it midnight
Quick email responses from dean associates and academic offices

Dislikes

Not all the faculty member are good summer average while some are at the edge
75% attendance is a must only in case of severe medical circumstances is the student allowed to have attendance lessor but they will get a back if they do so

Placement Experience:

Every company has its own cutoff for CGPA for each student and according to the branch it is said most of the companies are open for the circle branches such as computer science and technology and electronics and electrical engineering while the lower branches get little opportunity branches like mechanical chemical have almost standing to no placement here but branches like petroleum have good placement in government field from this college.

Almost all reputed software companies like Amazon, google, Microsoft etc. recruit from the campus.
The students also got stupendous internship at different companies.

Dislikes

Placement is not good for lower branches.

Placement Experience:

The placement record of IIT ISM Dhanbad is good. Almost all students get placed. The placement rate is 98%. Placement started in the 7th semester. Many MNCs and Indian companies come to the campus for placement. These include -Microsoft, Google, Uber, Oracle etc. Jio and TATA recruit a maximum number of students appx 50 each. This year The highest on-campus package is 52 lakh by Accenture japan and the highest domestic package is 43 lakh. The average package is 17.07 lakh per annum and the median package is around 20 lakh per annum. The highest off-campus package is 92 lakh by Bloomberg London.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement really improves every year. CDC, the career development centre SCPT, students coordinator placement team of our college plays a major role. The average package ranges from 17-19 Lakh while the median salary ranges from 15-16 Lakh. CSE, ECE, EE, M&C and Petroleum Engineering have incredible placement. Most of the students prefer to go for jobs and very less go for UPSC, GATE, MBA etc.

In the fifth semester companies come to offer internships around 500 students out of 1100 get internships and several of them get PPO. Mostly PPO offer is more than 30lpa. Placement occurs in 7 semesters and in just 2 days around 800 students get placed including PPO. Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sach, Amazon, Atlassian, uber , zepto , Sprinklr, newzera , tech Japan, Walmart, hotstar and several others companies visit. Around 200 companies visit campus for placement.

IIT Dhanbad ranks 15th among the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is a much older establishment than IIT Bhubaneswar. The fee structure for BTech in ECE at IIT Dhanbad is 2,30,120 for one year. It Requires a JEE ranking of 3000-10000 for ECE. The ECE department of IIT Dhanbad has seen 60% placement of students with an average annual salary package of 15 lakhs per annum and highest being 39 lakhs per annum. IIT Dhanbad has a total of 332 faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced members. Out of total, 315 members are Ph.D. holders.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019. It is one of the newer IITs.
