I chose this course because I was interested in the technical field, and this was the best college where I was getting a circuital branch. The faculty-student ratio at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is generally competitive, ensuring that students have access to their professors for academic support and guidance. It is about 1:10 overall. The faculty at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad typically consists of highly qualified and experienced professors. They often have impressive academic credentials and may be actively involved in research projects. Teaching methods can vary from professor to professor, but IITs often encourage interactive and engaging teaching techniques, including lectures, discussions, practical demonstrations, and group projects. Faculty members are usually encouraged to adopt modern teaching methods to enhance the learning experience. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad typically maintains a structured academic calendar, ensuring that term exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level of exams can vary.

The annual techno-management fest(Concetto) is conducted in October. The annual cultural fest(Srijan) is conducted in February. The central library at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad is Asia's second-largest college library. It has a lot of books and journals available. Sports and extracurriculars are given prime importance here. There are clubs for various sports like cricket, and football. hockey, badminton, athletics, tennis, basketball, etc. There are various cultural and technical clubs in the college.
Hostel Facilities :
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad typically offers comfortable hostel facilities for its students, equipped with essential amenities like furnished rooms, internet connectivity, and common areas for study and socializing. Security measures are in place to ensure safety. Meal Quality & Menu: Hostel mess facilities provide balanced meals, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. While the quality may vary, it generally meets students' nutritional needs. Registration Process & Affordability: Students register for hostel accommodation during admission. Hostel fees are usually included in the overall fees, and hostels at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad are often cost-effective compared to private options.
Admission :
Admission is through the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced). Student needs to appear for JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced to be eligible for admission. The eligibility criteria include having completed 10+2(or equivalent) with PCM (physics, chemistry, maths). The application forms for JEE mains and advanced are available on their official websites. The application fee and application dates are also available on the website. Some improvements I would like to see in the admission process would be, streamlining the application process, and avoiding technical glitches during examinations.
