Campus Life of NIT Hamirpur is awesome. It has beautiful campus , a good infrastructure.
Various events and hackhatons are conducted time to time in NIT Hamirpur.

Dislikes

There is no direct railway station or airport
Hostels needs to be upgraded and maintenance required properly.

Admission:

Admission is done by JEE mains , GATE, IIT JAM for B.Tech,.MTech and Master in graduation course. Difficulty level JER Mains is not quite dificult not very easy but a more bit than medium. JEE mains is held twice a year.

The fellow mates whom i met till date in my colege all are well taught and mannered.
The administration is quite helping and considers the problems of students as it comes to their knowledge.

Some of the professors might be seen a bit partial to a particular student or a group.
The hostels are a bit old school type, so there are frequent water shortage conditions.

For a bachelor's course student must qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), while for the masters programs students must qualify the GATE Examination. There is a reservation of seats for the home state students, females. The timings of exam sometimes feels a bit harsh.

Natural beauty of the college is unmatched.
Good infrastructure is there. Each departments have their own buildings with proper equipments and more

75percentage of attendance is mandatory for students.
Teachers do not focus on student's performance.

There was definitely an entrance test known as JEE mains and Advanced to get entry at my college. There is strict admission according to the cutoff. Once the college is provided through counselling, there is one day for registration.

NIT Hamirpur: A Crucible for Tech Titans

Strong Placements: The first thing anybody looks in a college before taking admission in any college or university is placements and the placement scene in any NIT Hamirpur is quite good. the institute brings the top companies for placements.
Good Infrastructure:the campus is surrounded with beautiful mountain ranges which creates a peaceful and silent environment that is perfect for studying and giving rise to new innovation. all the building of each department is up to the mark.

Course Load: the dual degree program cna be quite demanding and sometime the workload can fell as a burden.
Social Interaction: this might vary depending on your personality but i have found that forming close friendship within department can be challenging at times. there is a huge competetion among the fellows which is also create a bad environment.

The JEE is the only way through which you can get admission in NIT hamirpur. You have to secure a good percentile to get admission in this college. Yes, you can get the benefits of caste reservation which gives you some relaxation in getting admission in this college on low percentile.

Nit Hamirpur talks

Wi-fi enabled campus, well-equipped labs, big playground for cricket etc.
Hosts numerous festivals like Hill'ffair, Nimbus, prom, Lalkar.

Faculty not much inspiring as in other Nits.
Hostels are conjested . Not much space left to move freely.

In order to enroll in this college you have to clear JEE MAINS with good ranks and then apply fr JOSAA counseling. As for my branch the closing rank for Home state and obc-ncl category was around 30k during my JOSAA counseling.

The thing i liked the most is the environment weather and the seniors around. They are really very helpfull.
I liked the decorum maintained here which is very strict

Drugs, cigarette are commonly used in this college. We can say a whole business runs arlund these things
The mess in the hostels provide average food but the hygiene is not that good

Eligibility is clearing jee mains exam. I got ece branch being general at 98.1 percentile... So competition is tough.. Plus 10+2 pass Seats are reserved for sc st and obc also home state quota is applied

NITH - Does the jannat really exists?

Campus life is very good. Everywhere is greenery and i enjoy very much in the campus.
Teachers are great in this college. They help you in ur academics very precisely and always ready to help.

The strictness in the hostels is something i dont like.
Some area of the campus is not available for use as it is in the hills.

The admission process was quite easy and simple to handle by the student. The cut-off of my college remains pretty mid-range you would say. My parents were with me when I first went to the college and they were not bothered by any issues during the admission process.

NIT HAMIRPUR A BRIEF INTRO

Campus is incredibly beautiful with greenry spreaded across 320 acers
Basic utility shops are provided within the campus

Hamirpur is a small district hence there are not many places to visit in hamirpur specifically... although there are several destinations to visit except hamirpur but not in hamirpur.
In timing for all students is 9:30 pm....I think that's a limitation of being here just due to the reason that there are wild animals in around the jungle surrounding hamirpur.

Admission is given on the basis of rank obtained in jee mains through jossa counseling. Cutoff is something you can get at any website. But the general trend is like it's heighest for CS then ECE then electrical then mechanical then mechanical then civil then material and other branches.

The view is mesmerizing. The location of the college is one of the best .
Environment for study is very good. Its competitive.

The exam system is what i disliked the most.
Sometimes your course gets too distracted from the main course.

Cutoff for each branch varies frrom time to time and place to place . For my branch the cut off was about 91 percentile for OBC category and about 98.4 percentile for general category. Anyone can find additional info or answers to personal question from official website of NIT Hamirpur.
