Iam in electrical engineering even though I'm not a big fan of this course but I had no choice this was the only branch that I got by joosa and csab councelling. Electrical engineering has lots of real world applications, this is one of the core branches which are unaffected by rise of AI (unlike CS) job opportunities are lot in government sector . Orthodox methods of teaching are still used for teaching this branch which can be changed by using practical applications

some subjects of course are really helpful for us like marketing c and labs but chemistry and engineering graphics looks useless. curruculum is not that much real world oriented. exams are held at an interval of approx 2 months.

For me good branch of core after tech like CS in EE. In this branch if you are intersted in tech you can give interview in tech companies or if you are intersted in core you can go for EE in both govt and private sector. As EV era is coming for cars it will also boost jobs opportunity

Course curriculum is good but their is some disadvantage in it. Semester duration is 3-4 months. It should be increased to 4 to 5 months.Mid semester exams are held after 1 months of semester start.Overall curriculum is good

As I am from electrical engineering department so the courses are same as it was back to 20 years ago. All the courses are prepared so they each student will get practical experience. I think that i will be helpful if our course .
I graduated in electrical engineering so the curriculum had all the topics related to electrica, including theories, practical and lab experiments. Practical part influenced me more in the process. Curriculum was vast which teaches all the things. Though the structure was a bit cluttered, so I would suggest an improvement in that area. Exams were schduled sem vise, each sem having one mid sem and one end sem. level of exam was mixed, and scoring.

The syllabus system we have to follow seems to be old and there is a need of adding some modern syllabus to it, for eg we study microprocessor 8085 that is a very old technology , so improvements in syllabus is required

In 1st year everyone have the same subjects that are the basic subjects of all branches. Due to the students get a chance explore all other branches, also there is achance to change the our branch if you get sufficient marks in 1st year . After that the course is focused on the core subjects from 2nd year
Before selecting among institutes, you should decide which branch to opt for. As per the question asked, you must have an interest in both EE and CSE at the two specified institutes.
The points followed will give certain guidelines, based on which you can come to a conclusion.
Considering the above points, it can be deduced that EE at NIT Hamirpur is a better option, having a better college reputation and good campus life.
