Placements happen at the end of 7th semester. Few companies that visit include MBB, Microsoft, Google, HFTs, and a range of startups. Offers made are upwards of 500. Highesh package can go upto 1 CR (primarily US based) and average would be around 15 LPA.

Placement season starts in November every year after the 7th semester, which is the most hectic time period of one student in entire college time. The companies which come are big enough, for e.g. from Google to Mackenzie to Microsoft to Bain & Co. comes to our campus. Though recession has hit the placements but the package offered are still good. last year highest package was 1.8 Cr CTC(abroad) and 1.4 Cr CTC(home) and average was around 12-13 lacs. Almost 80-85% of the students get placed in the entire season.

Placements in our college are great and maximum packages are grabbed in the IT sector. Computer science students are always in high demand and get good pay packages for their work and other branches also get decent placements every year.

I am enrolled in chemical engineering I chose it because it is a chill branch and considered the best in the core branch as it is less hectic than another core branch, I was not getting a circuital branch in any old iit so I chose iitd.

I chose this course because I had a great interest in chemistry and maths from the start. There's one faculty for every 30 students. Professors are post-graduates and have a good level of knowledge. There are exams almost weekly quiz and vivas weekly. Mid-sem is every 2 months and the semester exam is every 4 months. The level of difficulty is next level. But the only problem is the course is outdated.

Students start to be eligible for campus placements in their seventh semester. We have OCS, which maintains data on all the businesses. Numerous large businesses visit IIT Delhi and make ten to fifteen offers. Some Quantitative Research Organizations provide high packages but few offers. The average amounts to about 15 LPA and the highest to about 3.5Cr. 30% of students have other ambitions, such as entrepreneurship, business, or higher education, while the remaining 70% of students are placed. We can apply for internships in our third year, and some students receive PPOs with respectable pay from these internships.
