Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses in first year are somewhat irrelevant because they teach you the same physics and chemistry. However after second year the course is relevant which will help you getting placements but you have to study on your own for better opuurtunities
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like JP Morgan, Phone Pay, Microsoft come for internship opportunities. Stipend vary from 50000 to 150000. Internships can be of two months or six months. On campus internships start from third year of the college
Placement Experience :
In third year students become eligible for internship opportunities and in the fourth year they are eligible for on campus opportunities. Internship is done in 6th semester of the college. Highest package last year was 55 lakh.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission and tuition Fee for first semester : 90000 Hostel Fee : 80000 Hostel Mess Fee : 40000 Scholarships are provided for students with family income less than 700000 per annum. Also fee waiver is present for students of SC/ST category
Campus Life :
There are many clubs and societies in the college in which we can enroll and participate in activities. There is pecfest in the month of november, last year Sunidhi Chauhan graced the stage at pec. Regular sports competitions are held.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are not that good. In the first year you get double sharing rooms. In the second year half of the students get single rooms. Food is good not bad. You have to give some documents during registration in hostel
Admission :
I applied to NIT Hamirpur but I choose pec over it because of more placement and internship opportunities. The admission process of PEC is through JEE Main exam held every year. You have to sit in Josaa counselling
Faculty :
Faculty in pec are cooperative. Faculties of computer science department are good but that of mechanical department are somewhat rude and illogical. You get mid sems after a month and end sems at end of the semester. Exams are made tough. There is relative marking
