NIT Patna M.Tech admission 2024 will be based on the GATE scores followed by CCMT counselling. GATE 2024 exams are currently taking place and have been scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The GATE results 2024 will be declared on March 16 and the candidates can download the scorecard on March 23. Along with this, the CCMT counselling online registration, fee payment, and online choice filling date is June 05, 2024.

NIT Patna offers an MTech program for a duration of 2 years in 18 different specializations under 7 departments. Admission to the NIT Patna MTech program is made based on merit scores of the GATE exam and further CCMT counselling. NIT Patna MTech cutoff overall for the year 2023 ranges from 352-468. 

NIT Patna allows the MTech program to be in online mode only. This program is available in both full-time and part-time mode. • The selection is based on merit secured in the GATE Examination. So the candidate must have appeared for the GATE examination and must have a valid score.

The admission to the M.Tech course at NIT, Patna is online mode only. The selection process is based on the score of the GATE examination given by the candidates. The shortlisted candidates must apply for and attend the counseling conducted by Centralized Counseling for M. Tech (CCMT).

How To Apply?

• Register and log in using the login credentials.
• The shortlisted candidates (based on the GATE score) must attend the CCMT counseling, where the candidate needs to fill the preferred course and institution.

At last, document verification will be done by the institute in which the candidate has been allotted a seat.

• Proof of payment of Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF).
• Original Migration certificate of Institute/University last attended. 
• Original Conduct Certificate from the Institute/University last attended.
• Original Transfer certificate from the Institute/University last attended.
• Print a copy of the Registration form and the locked choices downloaded from the CCMT portal through the candidate’s login, duly signed by the candidate.
• The provisional Seat Allotment Letter (PSAL) of the finally allotted seat in Round 3 was downloaded from the CCMT portal through the candidate’s login, duly signed by the candidate.
• Online Document Verification Certificate (ODVC) downloaded from the CCMT portal through the candidate’s login after successful Online Document Verification, duly signed by the candidate.
• Three passport-size color photographs.

There are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Math-Science Quest for Solutions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). They are questions from three sections, they are General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Subject Specification Section. There is a negative marking, i.e. ½ mark will be deducted from a wrong answer.
