Location of nit campus just near Ganga rever.
Travel convinced as it is near the Patna railway station about to 7 to 8 km.

Campus is so small and old so playing ground is limited space.
Course subject need to be changes as some subject is unnecessary.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I have interest in thermal subject like heat and mass transfer, thermodynamic, refrigeration etc. So I choose thermal engineering branch. Course curriculum is OK OK. It should need to be change upto some limit like in curriculum some simulation based subject must be added and this course strictly follow by all student as it is basic need during placement. There is two main exam and a class test in one semester.

Class Size : 16Course Fees : INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

In pget mechanical role Cummins India, ZF Group, LG Soft India all company provide around 30000 stipend. Internships period around 9 to 11 month. Project which is done during internship submit during final year thesis.

Placement Experience :

3rd semester student in case of pget and 7th semester student in case of get are eligible to college placement. Some 3rd year student also got internship. Company like mahindra and mahindra, alstrom, ZF group, Cummins India, Jindal stainless steel, TCE, L&T, L&T edu etc in mechanical. Highest package is around 13 lakhs and average package around 7 lakh in pget mechanical courses. 40% in case of pget mechanical. PhD after completing master degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee decision taken by government body and also nits are free to vary the fee according to needs. Tuition fee is around 36000 per semester. The complete cost of the education is around 190000. This cost only include college fee and hostel and mesh fee around 80000. If you qualify gate exam then government give you 12400 each month as a stipend.

Campus Life :

Eccentrica and techfest these two fest basically organised by college in month of November and January respectively. A good amount of book of different writers and some journals like science direct available in the library. All class room have projector as well as white board. Some class room with digital board. In sports cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, squash, kabaddi, bollyball, basket ball ground available also inter nit tournament played during month of February and March. Some dancing group, singing group as well as cultural fest group run in college.

Admission :

Gate qualified. Councling with the help of central body website CCMT. You can availed reservation benefits according to central caste certificate and pwd quota. 3 hours examination and tough exam as there is all core subject in exam.

NIT Patna; College of our dreams

Placement Experience:

Placement is good at graduation level, fir masters it is slightly less but it give placement opportunity for around 25-30% students. L&T, EIL, BPCL etc visit for campus placement. In Civil engineering highest package is around 16-18 lakhs. My plan is for research after doing my masters.

To be honest, I was surprised to see such amazing placement packages from IIT Patna; it well exceeded my expectations; the best package for our batch was 40 LPA, with the average package being around 20 LPA. To be honest, IIT Patna offers the finest return on investment; it is worthwhile to be a part of IIT Patna. The college has a record of 100% placement. the placement record was one of the main reasons that I choose to be part of NIT Patna. The college placement committee is very professional and very supportive for students. The committee guides the students during the placement. The highest package for our batch went up to 15 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. The Best in the city

Entrance Preview:

I got admission here on basis of my GATE score. I scored 33 marks in GATE and I got a chance to get geotechnical CIVIL Engineering in this college. I chose this course as I have a deep interest in this field and also I have a keen interest in teaching.

Placement Experience:

Placement is pretty good for civil here as compared to other NITs because the level of education I think is bit higher in this college. There are a lot of people who underestimate this college being situated in a poor state but thats not true, its a very rapid growing area now and placements are reallly good.
