Placement Experience:
Placement record is very good in NIT silchar ,in 2023 , median package of Computer science and engineering is 18 lpa and average is 24.6lpa Not only CSE placement is also good in other branches overall median of all branches is 10lpa and average is 14lpa .highest package is 80lpa So many companies come to hire students

- Campus is huge and green, making it a nice place to stay

- The weather. The weather here is way too hot in summers and when it rains, its flood.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is very strict, a relaxation can help students in self study, attendance is mandatory for most if the courses. The curriculum is very old, compared to other private universities, which include a wide variety of latest in demand curriculum.

- The campus of nit silchar is very nice. I liked the hostels and its management.
- I feel good by interacting with my friends and poffessor of this institute.
Dislikes
- Though placement is good but the average is not so good.
- I didn't liked the condition of 1 hostel.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit here like amazon, flipkart, microsoft, PCU, ONGC etc and they made many offers. Highest package is 84 LPA. 98% students get placed. My plan is to uplift my family condition after getting degree.

- First and foremost I liked the fact that it was close to my home
- The placements in the college are pretty good even during the time of COVID it went up

- The location of the college is not that great
- The infrastructure isn't high end and the hostel services aren't up to the mark
Placement Experience:
Placements in this college is quite decent . Students are eligible to sit for placements at the start of 4th year The average placement percentage was 90 percent last year with max package of 52lpa and average of 16lpa (for cs) .Among core branches , the mech department is quite good offers good packages and also have great faculties .

- The campus is very rich in flora. The campus also have many lakes which adds to the beauty of the college campus
- The college have also have very helpful senior who mentors an individual in each and every situation
Dislikes
- The infrastructural growth of the college is slow.. It also lacks basic infrastructural establishment
- Food of some hostel are not upto the mark and need some serious improvement
Placement Experience:
The students starts getting intership from the end of second year. Many companies such as Amazon, Flipkart,atlassian,Goldman Sachs visit our campus for recruitment. The highest package offered is nearly 80Lpa and an avg package of 15Lpa Almost 80% of the students are placed in a general scenario

- The campus life is very good. And the atmosphere around the campus is clean
- We have a central library which is largest library in Asia.
Dislikes
- Faculty members are quite boring but very talented
- Exams are difficult to write but studying in academics can lead to good cgpa
Placement Experience:
From seventh semester,the students are eligible for placements and from third semester students are eligible for internships.Highest package of our college is eighty lakhs per annum and average package of our college is thirty lakhs per annum.

- The hostel mess food was not upto the mark
- The weather of the place was a lot of humidity
Placement Experience:
We are probably eligible for college placement from out 7th sem i.e the start of our 4th year. Although many big company visitis our college like amazon ,microsoft, tata,realiance and they offer a hige amount.In 2023 the highest package was 44lakh and the average was around 14lpa.Around 90% students of cse are placed. After completing my degree i will look for a job as a software developer

- The ambience of Nit Silchar is good. The college provides opportunities to grow and develop yourselves.
- The Clubs and Societies are very helpful in building soft skills and management, also including technical knowledge. Being active in the clubs was beneficial for me.
Dislikes
- The infrastructures should be a bit advanced. Renovation needs to be done throughout the college
- The academic guidelines should be improvised for the betterment of the students. Also the way of teaching in the classrooms should be improved.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are eligible for sitting for placements. There are many companies that visit NIT Silchar every year naming a few, AWS, Amazon, Flipkart, Uber, OYO, ONGC, Indian oil, banks, Jindal steels, Zedus, Oracle and many more. Out of 1000 students in Every batch 600 offers are made minimum. Percentage of students getting placed depends upon branches. As per last year there was 100 percent placement for CSE, 92 percent for ECE, 76 for mechanical, 82 for electrical, 85 for Eie and 70 for civil. My plans after getting the degree is to get in a well established IT company for a job.

- Asia biggest library and world class infrastructure

- Hostel food is very bad not not very hygiene
- Classroom are very old and most projector don't work

From 7 semester students became eligible for campus placement More than 50 companies visit our campus every year Some big name include Atlassian , Google ,Amazon etc In cse above 90 percentage gets placed with avg being 18lpa and highest 84 lpa

What is your review on NIT Silchar for M.tech in mechanical engineering?
NIT Silchar is a prestigious engineering college that imparts quality education in various fields. However, the PG courses aren't very well-known and only the UG courses have gained fame over time. It is therefore advisable to check the profiles of the teachers in the respective department.
Additionally, NIT Silchar is located in a remote location and you might find it difficult to procure your equipment for projects. MTech depends on the quality of the research and project you have completed and if you fail to accomplish it your MTech degree is invaluable.
Most companies visiting NIT Silchar prefer BTech students to MTech students. So getting a good job let alone a core job is very difficult here. The institute has no international ties so your future prospects may narrow down further.
