The campus is very rich in flora. The campus also have many lakes which adds to the beauty of the college campus
The college have also have very helpful senior who mentors an individual in each and every situation

The infrastructural growth of the college is slow.. It also lacks basic infrastructural establishment
Food of some hostel are not upto the mark and need some serious improvement

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course offered at nit Silchar till date had no relevance to me atleast.. The course offered is too old and doesn't help to cope up with the present day required.. Personally I just study it to get good CGPA

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 600000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Students starts getting intership at the end of the second year of the college. Companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon offer the intership to the students and the stipend varies from 40k-100k per month

Placement Experience :

The students starts getting intership from the end of second year. Many companies such as Amazon, Flipkart,atlassian,Goldman Sachs visit our campus for recruitment. The highest package offered is nearly 80Lpa and an avg package of 15Lpa Almost 80% of the students are placed in a general scenario

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of the college is very nominal as compared to other institutions. The also have fees reduction based on the family income. We also can avail scholarship from NSP website.. The scholarship includes ishan Uday etc

Campus Life :

Incandesence and tecnoesis are the cultural and technical fest held during February and October respectively which are among the largest fest of northeast region. Various tech persons, artists, singers etc are invited. NIT Silchar has the largest digital library of Asia were we can find almost all books . The classes are well maintained with good air regulation. Classes are also occupied with projectors and screens The college has got almost all sports facilities excluding sports equipments The clubs here are very active and help a lot in the skill development journey

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are well equipped with ceiling fans, study table, chairs, bed, cupboard, internet facilities. The meals at some hostel are not upto the mark and need some serious improvement. Hostel and mess are very affordable.

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Admission :

The admission process was very smooth.. All the form where available in the josaa website. Exam was held in 2 shift for a week or so. The difficulty levels was moderate. The exam centres should have air conditioners which was not there in my time

Faculty :

The faculties of nit silchar are of top skilled and experienced..The have very good knowledge of what they are doing. The interaction with the faculties is too easy. We can reach them out through any medium

Faculty members are the best part of the college.

Placement Experience:

Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest was 7 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vodafone, Jio etc. Our college provides better placements compared to other private colleges.

How is it like to be a student of The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.
