Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses taught aren't upto the date with the new education policy yet . In the first year students have to go through common subjects . The courses taught help in exams like GATE or other competitive exams and many times questions in exams are taken directly from pyqs of GATE. In a semester we go through 3exams mid semester of 30marks ,10marks minor ,end sem of 50 nd internal assessment of 10marks which is similar to other colleges

Internships Opportunities :

Most of the students go for research internships under professors of the college or other colleges .other than that many companies come to college like Microsoft and others like Amazon ,Flipkart etc .

Placement Experience :

Placements in this college is quite decent . Students are eligible to sit for placements at the start of 4th year The average placement percentage was 90 percent last year with max package of 52lpa and average of 16lpa (for cs) .Among core branches , the mech department is quite good offers good packages and also have great faculties .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee is about 63k per sem , But this comes with financial assistance for students from different financial backgrounds For students with income below 1lac and Sc ,ST students, tuition fee is 0 With income between 1lac to 5lac it is about 38-40k And 5lac above has to pay all 63k Along with other charges like library charges nd every thing ...the academic costs per semester come out to be Income below 1lac :10100 Income between 1lac to 5lac : 50000 Income above 5lac : 72k And if you are opting for hostel then The hostel and message combined fee is 22000 per semester for every student . So if u belong to a weak financial background then doing a bachelor's degree in NIT Silchar would cost about 2.5lacs

Campus Life :

We have one cultural fest and one technical fest in our college The cultural fest is organised during Feb ,March of every year and is called Incandesence The technical fest if generally organised during sept, Oct and is called tecnoesis . Over all campus life is great , we celebrate all kinds of culturals and activities in the college .

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities differ for students of different years. For first yrs 2person are given a single room , the hostel alloted is clean and the rooms come with a bed ,a desk and a cupboard and a single fan , there are also some rooms with three persons per room . Mess meal quality is average to bad bt if you have lived in pgs during your JEE prep than you would find it quite nice . For dinner , non veg menu : Chicken is served 4days ,1 day fish ,1 day egg nd 1 day veg. And for lunch it is veg every day . For mess food I can give you a subtle understanding , when I took admission I weighed 63kgs ,after 1st sem I was 57kgs Not all credit goes to the food but most of it is due to food. Other than hostels finding rented rooms is quite tough as the college is on the outskirts of the town and not many good homes are available in the neighbourhood

Admission :

The admission process is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAINS , If you are from home state then you can get a seat in the college even if you have about 1lac rank for sc,st, girl students. Exam is conducted every year during March, April . If you are from general category male home state , then 96percentile might be a safe score for getting computer science and you can get all other courses at this percentile .

Faculty :

The faculty mostly consists of professors who are experts in the field and provide an extraordinary outlook on the topics . Teachers are approachable ,we can reach them through WhatsApp or mail and they are mostly available

It's a fact that the Indian education system is not designed or promoted for skills sharing. But if you are in CIT the scenes are quite different. In CIT various seminars and programs related to a high balance between a curriculum and an industrial side

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choose EE because it's have both core and it features so i believe that I will go for core but if the situation changes then accordingly i will shift. The curriculum is pretty good in this campus according to me that's why I have choose this course. I don't think I have enough thinking level to suggest about that. Before exam there should be some gap for studies purpose I mean to say classes should be off. And everything is good.

Placement drives are held in December of every year for the students who complete their 7th semester. Placements are quite good over here, The highest package this year is 2.4 crore and the average package fluctuates between 20 to 25 LPA every year. One can also go for higher studies, there is no harm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My branch is Computer Science and Engineering. I am interested in computer skills like gaming, web development, coding, etc that's why I choose this course. In my college, every facility is provided like labs, sports ground and kits, medical facility, hostels and mess and, well educated and skilled faculty. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:50. Faculties are well experienced (Ph.D. holders) and have good teaching skills. But, I want to mention one thing that, you can't totally depend on the faculty, you need to pay extra effort by itself. B.Tech is of 4 years course that is divided into 8 semesters. Every semester 2 main exams are conducted. Exams are not much easy but also not too hard. You need to focus on academic too for decent pointers. If you are a sincere student then getting a good pointer is not hard.
