- The restaurant and night canteen are best and food of these restaurant are so so tasty that you will never gonna miss you home food again.

- Attandance - 85% attandance is very disgusting.. i never heard 85% in another collage except nit rourkela,
- They are so strict in their grading and failing students, it's terrible.

Placement Experience:
The placements which are provided in my college were decent. Their are alot of well known companies came to placements. In the sixth semester itself the students are eligible to sit the placements. The 90% of the students are going to placed in before graduating.

- The Lush green Campus is very good and the facilities in the campus are very good
- the placement cell in the campus is very good almost all the students gets placed unless you're not willing

- The attendance policy in our campus is 85% which becomes too hectic some times and there is a system called grade-back system if you doesn't attend this many lecture the grade you'll be getting will be reduced by 1 for that course
Placement Experience:
The placements in the college are very good and their is dedicated placement cell for students which helps the students during the placement period and the students from 7th semester will be eligible for sitting in the placements and there are diffrent types of companies which are vistiting our campus for recuirtment which are softwre/ Tech companies(Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Visa, Disney plus hotstar, Wells Frago...etc) Hardware/ Semiconductour companies(Texas Instruments, Qualcoom, Nivida, Intel, Samsung, Micron..etc) Analytics/ Consultancy companies(Exl, Fractal Anlytics, Genpact, EXL, ICICI bank,Phonepay...etc) there also many Core companies(Tata, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, JINDAl, Vedenta, Bajaj Auto, Hindustan Uniliver..etc ) these are some of the companies visiting our campus the average package is around 13 LPA and highest packed is 52.4 LPA oncampus

- The size of the campus is huge and it's fun to just go on a walk or cycle around
- The infrastructure is nice. But we do not have a dedicated department building for Civil branch
Dislikes
- The in-time for girls is 12AM. Really unfair.
- Also, the grading is weird and absolute, instead of being relative. They are so strict in their grading and failing students, it's terrible.
Placement Experience:
Final year students are eligible for campus placements. Most students aim for Software companies, but you'll have a very scarce chance of getting into the big ones if you belong to a non-circuital branch. However, some big companies like Microsoft (50 LPA CTC) let you sir for the OT and sometimes hire you in the name of inclusivity. Other companies like American Express, VISA, Wells Fargo also visit on campus and offer around 30 LPA CTC. Now, these companies have an eligibility criteria of only circuital branches. There are other Software and mostly Analytics companies that offer on average 20 LPA, and allow mosy branches to sit for the OT.

- Campus life is great as you have opportunity to experience everything.
- Course- courses are well designed and accordance to the GATE pattern
Dislikes
- Strict attendence policy- as many have suffered due to this.
- Low boys to girls ratio which makes you feel like same gender person are surrounded every where
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are eligible to sit for campus placements. Some the major campus visits are Microsoft, Oracle, Wels fargo, Barclays, Accenture, BPCL, ONGC, Tata steel, Vedanta, Nation with Namo, etc. And may more. Almost more than 90% placed in each branch with min og 90% in civil dept. While many branches have 100% placements record. My plan after degree is to pursue higher studies.

- Join in nit Rourkela will be the best choice ever made .i thought to choose cse in nit Rourkela but due to low rank i didn't got so I was through to take cse in kiit but still I take civil in nit Rourkela because I heard good infrastructure about

- No one literally no one believe that nit r is such an awestrucking place, without themselves coming to this wonderland ,worth mentioning it's better than any many itts and almost all nits,still it is one of the unsung institute of India . sometimes
Placement Experience:
Nit Rourkela's placement season saw a record-high average of 12.95 lakhs CTC and the highest package being 53.9 lakhs per annum. a total of 1,534 offers were made by 330 companies and 24 students received offers of over 50 lakhs package.

Placements in my college are descent of all branches and on-campus placement is there, students become eligible for placement from 7th sem and many offers were made last year by more than 200 companies.

I chose this course due to its focus on sustainable fuel, hydrogen energy, and other areas aligned with my interests. The faculty-student ratio is balanced, ensuring personalized attention. Faculty members are well-qualified, and their teaching methods are engaging and effective. Term exams were timely, and passing them required dedication.

What is your review of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT-RKL)?
A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
