The placements and internships are quite impressive . The TnP cell is also good and they even train us with mock interviews / resume tips .

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

For campus placement, students after 6 th sem are eligible to apply, Companies which regularly visit our college are Microsoft, Amazon,apple,Cisco , Walmart,and many more .this year the highest package was 1 cr., around 35 offer were made from Microsoft for around 52lkh package. Average package for my branch was 18 lakh .Most of students get placed like in my branch percentage would be around 90 to 95 percent.

Our college seniors are really good and kind to juniors, no ragging . Seniors guide us everytime and also helps in studies. They are very cooperative and help us, also they give advices for interviews which helps a lot .

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is available from 3rd year like if you did internship in 2nd year and company wants to hire you they can give you placement in 3rd year also . From 2nd year onwards companies visit our college for skilled students who are perfect for their job there is cgpa criteria also from companies like some of them allow only those students who scored 8+ cgpa to sit in the interview. Almost 70-80% students get placements and some of them get off campus placement also. Apple company also visited to your college and heired students in their company. Some other companies like microsoft, amazon, flipkart etc also visit to hire interns or to give placement. My plan after btech is either get a placement in good company or will prepare for govt exams .

Nestle to DeShaw, and few more big names have made sure that placements workth 5 lakhs or around are easily available to 80-90 students out of 120 students of the batch size.

Many core companies come here as capital goods and defence sector is where our expertise and teaching takes us to. It's the majority of IT names that comes but I am or rather no one should look beyond their core branch otherwise there's no point is what I feel. Averages have suddenly gone up as currently as per the substrata of last 3-4 years it stands at 7.5 lakhs a year.

Dislikes

Placements at our college are good but college lags in providing us assistance for good core internships.

Placement Experience:

Companies like Punj Lloyd, BEL, Bhel, Titagarh Wagon and others are some of premiere companies that comes for placements. IT companies list is too long but I want to work on my core branch. So far, 28 lakhs is the biggest placement recorded at our campus and currently Mechanical Branch placements stands at 7-8 lakhs average.
