Course Curriculum Overview :

Being in Top Seven colleges in India, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is definitely having a edge over most of colleges in India. Providing world class curriculum. The entrance test GATE is based on core engineering subjects.

Placement Experience :

Actually placement varies from branch to branch i.e. In CSE placement is about 100percent while it goes a quite low in core branches. The avg. package also varies from branch to branch. The percentage placement also varies among PG and UG's. UG's have a higher percentage placement even in core branches due to availability of offers from IT sector.

College Events :

Wonderful, amazing, awesome, phenomenal, etc. etc. are just words that could describe that first encounter with Alcheringa. Being a part of the organizing team meant that I had to be busy with essential ground work and would get a little or no time to enjoy the fest at large. But, surprisingly, this very fact turned out to be the best part.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

You get a monthly stipend of RS. 12k. Fees is very less compared to that so it gets fully covered up in stipend. No expense is required. The total annual fees for Mtech program is around 80k. Hence Stipend is sufficient

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Campus Life :

If you are new here then there are many places to visit like go to Guwahati city by using ferry services.Also there are many temples here Kamakhya Mandir,Balaji Mandir. If anyone is very interesting in exploring then that person should try to visit Shillong. Also Kaziranga National park is near to iit Guwahati. Some people are very much interested in making abroad trip but due to financial problems they will not but Bhutan is around 500 km also you don't need passport. Bhutan is very beautiful country. For Bhutan you need few more days.

Admission :

I got admission for MASTER'S program M.Tech which is based on GATE score. They call students who applied for program to their beautiful campus for counseling session. The counselling session is nothing but document verification and merit list declaration. The offer is given on COAP

Placements at IIT Guwahati are good enough to get you placed. All you need to do is prepare well. As an MTech student if you didn't get placed you can still went for PhD in foreign if you have worked well In your project and your guide is satisfied with your work

A detailed review of IIT GUWAHATI.

Placement Experience:

My insights will be focussed on M.Tech A mtech student becomes eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester, as for btech i think its 9th semester. Very good choice for Masters in Mechanical

Placement Experience:

From the first semister itself you will be eligible for the internships but the internship opportunities are very less, very less companies have visited for internships For the Campus placement in the second year very good number of reputed companies like bajaj, TVS, mercedes, TATA, Jindal , GE etc have come with good packages Highest in core campanies will be around 16 LPA and average will be around 10 LPA 90 percent of the candidates will be placed generally

IITG, a place to live your dreams

Placement Experience:

For btech students they get eligible for placement in 7 semester for mtech 3 semester I was shortlisted in 3 company SCA technologies, IOD solution and raspa pharma. I got offer from IOG solution. Highest package domestic was 1cr and international was 2.4 cr for this placement 2023-24 season. Till. This time 70% of the students got placed. Out of 1200 students. My plans is to join the job.
