Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is good, not too hectic, not too light, Teachers are really really good, they are expert in thier domain. Basically, a student needs to complete 7 courses and Thesis to get graduation. these 7 subjects are electives and they need to be chosen from 3 pools, namely data science, Theory and systems, Atleast one course per pool is required. I completed all 7 courses in 1st yr itself. Exams and work load depends on subject to subject and teacher to teacher , also freq and curriculum also depends on teacher and course. difficulty of exam vary from subject and teacher. Nothing here is too difficult or too easy. everything requirs time. IIT KANPUR is a becon of eduction. it gives time to you to relax, it has many fests like antragani, techkriti, udgosh. All of them are too good, also there are many clubs which you can join for your co curriculars. In middle of every semester, there is mid semester recess for 7 days, and after recess, the end month for this semester, if well m

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

fees is not high, 22 thousand per semester only, other than that 3 thousand per month for mess is required. You can do TA duty which gives you 12 thousand per month which will cover up your daily expenses.

Campus Life :

Campus life is too good. I didnt join any club as I had to focus on my academics. Apart from that, there is gym, which I regularly do, there are PE ground, cricket ground, hockey ground, lawn tennis court, swimming pool. overall, one can enjoy hinself here

Admission :

Admission is through GATE Computer science engineering Exam, which is conducted every year in February. For genral category, rank below 200 is required. Any Btech can pursue mtech Computer science. Gate exam is moderate difficulty.

Campus placement like 2 months summer intern, 6 months intern + full time can be offered by companies, Most student get full time opportunity through 2 month summer intern Students having offer for intern are eligible for full time also since cahncea of ppo is not consider as their offer Sometimes offer revoked student get additional support for next one year through college for placement, student getting offer for package can again apply for 2x offer if new company visit for twice the offer Generally package are within 15-20 lpa for ece, cse and electrical student and psu also visit for offer direct through interview so many opportunity are given to student than expected

Masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2023-2035

Placement Experience:

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.
