Course Curriculum Overview :

As comparatively with other IIT's course curriculum kanpur has difficult academics again it depends on professor grading system. The way curriculum prepares you will be definetly applicable in real-world problems . the teaching methods were too good and very helpful.The exams will be definetly difficulty.the grading system will be relative with respect to other top students . The grading will be like A++,A,B++,B,B++,C,C++,D++,D than you will be Eand F grades.The course difficulty level will be decided by proffesors in that particular courses as their are some proffesor who really genuine and practical ,also they are some other professor are too strict which makes students in stress.The grading on average marks will be around B and C tough grading will be given at D++ this makes decrease in cgpa of overall semester.Apart from that we can say that proffesors were too friendly while asking doubts they clarify without any hesitation and they are too kind with students.

Internships Opportunities :

(Microsoft Apple Google Samsung Ibm Dell Adobe Uber) in technical gaints (pwc kpmg deloitte citibank ) in financial and consulting firms. (Reliance Tata motors mahindra) in manufacturing and energy and so on are the companies are offered as internship . the stipends will be around 25000/- to 50000/- as per in general.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good enough for an average student in campus.Eligible after 3rd second semester and before that the candidate need to be done some or the other internships for quick recognition in placements. MICROSOFT,RELIANCE,TATA PROJECTS,ICICI BANKS,NPCL,INTEL,QUALCOMM and so on., as per this year we got 986 offers including 22 international offers. Highest package is 1.90 cr per annum and average is 26.7lakhs per annum and companies offered MICROSOFT,TEXAS,NAVI and QUALCOMM. 90 percentage of students getting placements. plans after degree is having startup plans for further.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure will be divided in the basis of category that you belong to so in general i can say that around it will be 275000/- per year for general category and for reserved candidates will be much less than this value of fee .There will mess fee will be paid during admission in advanced .there will be no fees for hostel residency as of i know regarding that .service fee like electricity bill will added within the mess advanced fee and if there is any money is left over your account than it will be transfered futher year in the list and it cotinues as further . Scholarships definetly will be getting to almost all the students in different forms like we have INSPIRE,RELIANCE,NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL, and institute scholarships are FBM i.e., free mess fee will be reumbersed and we have MCM which is merit cum scholarship. In total 989 offers, including international offers have been received in 2023-24 year and average stands in 26.27 lakh per annum.And 90% of them got placed.

Campus Life :

As it is a one of the top notch colleges in iit's obviously it as been conducting fests at large scale which will be maitained under gymkhana . The ANTARAGNI is cultural fest includes all kind of competitions like dance music dramatics etc.,And also it will be having all kind of talk shows and panel discussions and having comedy nights with famous people.Then we have TECHKRITI technical fest icludes all kind of competions like robotics, car drifts ,Dj nights ,famous people talk shows then we have UDGOSH the sports fest one of the largest sports fest at large scale. They are different kind cells clubs teams societies etc., and each of them have there own biggest fest in that particular areas. There are so many facilities for sports like various types of grounds and kits for different sports. Overall as a overview i can say that campus life will be definitly good experience and you make good memories throughout your journey.

Hostel Facilities :

The room will accomodated as double share and triple in first year and than mostly it will be double share but in final there will be single share rooms for all students in 4th year. Coming to the quality of the meal is good and menu changes in every month as per request by HEC of your hostel. There will no much big process for hostel just by filling some must required documents and paying some required money in before due mostly on online process. locality will be within the campus itself no need of taking room outside of campus since in campus was secure and safe as i can suggest.

Hostel Fee : INR 15000 per year

Admission :

The admission process was little bit of difficulty need to be face during the process as it goes on online process in josaa portal as i took entrance exam like jee mains and advance. To qualify the entrance exam need to be cross the cutoff marks or percentage in their particular category like st,sc,obc,bc. The application form of entrance exam will be found at NTA portal and fee will be 1000/- for general male candidates and 800/- for female while SC/ST/PWD category need to 500/- INR and for jee advance 2900/- for male and 1450/- for female including all reserved candidates . Every year two shifts jee mains will be conducted and ones the the jee advanced. JEE MAINS DATES will be in the month of (january --shift -1) and (shift -2 will be in april) JEE ADVANCED will be in the month of may approx. The difficulty level of jee main exam will be much easier than the advance exam. During the admission process please make sure checking cutoff of the rank as per rank on particular branch ..

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subject of Biotechnology is of great importance and is very new and interesting too. The subjects offered are relevant and insightful as they offer knowledge on all aspects of the field. The curriculum is in correspondence to the syllabus of entrance exams like GATE making the preparation easier. We have exams every 4 months. The schedule is decent but there are lesser gaps than required between exams. The practical exams are sometimes conducted in the gaps between the exams.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester we are eligible for placement drive in our campus. Comoanies like flipcart bulebook etc have visited here but the offers was very less. Average package is 4 LPA and Highest package is 7 LPA till the date. Around 40 percentage of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is that taking job from off campus.
