The campus life is good and we also get much time for other activities so we can improve ourselves.
The interactive management and professors.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not to the mark. Even we have innovation center and research hub.
The campus is small comparing to other iits which is only 350 acres.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course here is integrated masters in mathematics and computing and is a very good branch in iits. I choose this because of my intrest in maths and good scope in this branch. The curriculum is good but is somewhat hectic for btech students as credits are high comparatively. The exams are conducted 2 times per semester and the difficulty is a bit high.

Class Size : 120Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The companies offer interships for not noncore and core students like almost all MNCs come to our college and hire students. The stipends are also very good compared to other colleges. They are enrolled in different profiles as data analyst, graduate engineer trainee etc.. They are provided with very good projects with very good stipend.

Placement Experience :

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. The multinational companies like google, Microsoft and big trading firms like Goldman Sachs etc.. Visit campus and hire many students. Highest package was of 1cr and average packages offered for my branch were like between 20-30 lakhs. Almost all students get placements. I want to take placement and continue for some years then according I'll plan.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of the college is like a bit higher fee for income more than 5 lakhs students and for reservation students there is no tution fee. The cost of education is not too much compared to other private colleges. Even personal expenses are not much. There are many scholarshios available for students like nsp,opening rank scholarship etc... The campus placements are good as it is an iit and stipend is also very well.

Campus Life :

Concetto is the techno management fest of iit dhanbad and srijan is cultural fest and held in September and february respectively. The campus has one of the largest libraries in India and almost every book is available. The facilities are good enough in classrooms. Even extracurricular activities are better but they can be improved. There are many clubs and societies and are very useful for the improvement of students and following their passion.

Hostel Facilities :

We have facilities like fan, cot etc..( everyone gets in hostel room) but we get a lan cable for internet and a decent room with a chair table which is perfect for a student. The mess quality is good but the taste is average as we eat it on weekly basis we get bored. The registration process is when you are going to join campus you will be alloted a room.

Hostel Fee : INR 18000 per year

Admission :

I admitted in this college through jee advance and the cut off for obc ncl was 2000 almost and mine was 1875 so i got this in second round. The admission is through josaa counseling and it was good. The selection through jee exam was good but the reservation mattered a lot.

A college with tremendous placement

Placement Experience:

Almost all the students of NIT Jamshedpur are placed irrespective of their branch. Coming to Civil branch the placement percentage is above 95 percent. And the average package is around 9 lpa. So in terms of placement NIT Jamshedpur is among one of the best NITs of India.

BIT MESRA - A BOON OR A BANE

Placement Experience:

The palcements scenario is decent in our college . Here very good comapnes come for recuritment but they are grenerally for the branches like computer science and IT. Other branches like ECE and EEE also have decent placemnets but othereise all other branches have a pretty dull placemnet scene.

Placement Experience:

Our placements are better than other colleges but not as good as other iits also due to recession the placement have declined this year , as for me I have secondary choice to prepare for gate as core companies like cil don't come to campus placement and we have to crack gate which easier for my branch as it is a rare branch in india

Placement Experience:

Placements are okay, we have nearly 50-70% placements this year. Students are eligible for placements from 4 th Year. Average placement package in my branch is around 10 lakh PA, highest being around 20 LPA. I plan to do masters after my bachlor's degree.

BIT Sindri Review from an insider perspective.

Placement Experience:

Final year students i.e. from 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Companies like Tata Steel, L&T , Vedanta limited, TSUIL, TCE, Adani group, Aditya Birla group and many more companies visited the campus for placements. Also Core engineering branch students are also eligible for IT companies like TCS , Accenture, Deloitte etc they also visit campus. Total offers made this year was around 400 Average package is around 6.5 LPA. Highest package is 13.2 LPA by Vedanta for GET role. Around 75% of students were placed. My plans after degree :- I am joining L&T Constructions after my degree. I was offered this role by L&T during my campus placements. My responsibilities will be to assist the senior engineers and learn from them.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year one can go for placements, they are eligible. Campus placements do happen. Infosys, tcs, wipro, and many more companies visit here and hire the most skilled engineers. The percentage is obviously really good. A minimum of 80% of the students get placed in good-paying jobs.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR REVIEW

After 6th sem students start applying for placements. The average package offered was 12.63 lpa this year due to recession in job market. The avg for my branch i.e production and industrial engineering was 8.26 lpa . Avg for cs was 20.24 lpa and the highest package offered was 82 lpa . Placement Experience:

NJT JAMSHEDPUR is known for its Placement. This NIT offers more than 95% Placement in all the branches. The good thing is that 100% Placement in core branches. U just need to maintain a normal CG say 7 then u might grab a good Package. The Average package of this NIT is 15LPA while the Highest goes 83LPA and the lowest Package offerwd overall is 6 LPA.
